2 months of training
My name is Bill, I started in January 2014. I just finished level 2 and my head is spinning!
I have no experience in this at all. It is amazing all the terminology I read, I read a lot of posts and blogs and have no idea what they are talking about. Hopefully, I too will learn all the terms of internet marketing.
I must be the only person at WA that doesn't have a degree in computer science.
My first experience with "tech stuff" was a rotary phone with a party line! and an adding machine with a crank - a typewriter with no cord or spell check or white out. Yikes! I ran a business with that technology (technology, ha ha).
If it wasn't for my kids having computers in the 90's, and emailing everyone but me, I don't know if I would have bought one. I started with a Gateway in 2000, Millennium, cost a fortune, I bought everything you could get, flat screen monitor ($900.00), color printer, speakers - -the whole works. My smart phone has more ram and memory than that thing had. Since then, I have gone to laptops, love them. My newest one is an HP envy TouchSmart 17.3"running Windows 8.1.
So now I am on a new learning curve with Windows 8.1 and learning all this at the same time. I'm sure my headache will go away soon, but I think this all may take a bit of time.
Being at WA so far has been fun and challenging, and all the people are great - with advice and encouragement. Thanks everyone,
Bill

you might not be familiar with the content, but the process and the feelings associated with learning sure ain't new. Go Bill!!!!
It was just the same for me Bill but you will find that everything sinks in and then one day you will amaze yourself at what you know - when you are showing other people how to do things. Sounds like you are doing great!
Bill,
You are doing great! Keep it up! Just take it one lesson and one day at a time. Best regards and best of luck to you!
Hi Bill! Keep plugging away at it! Be patient with yourself! We always put too much pressure on ourselves and it's anti productive! Enjoy the experience! I know what you are talking about and we just get in our own ways. Take a deep breath and remember why you are here. :-)
I doubt most of the people here have computer science degrees. I believe Kyle and Carson went to college for it or something similar, but other than that I don't know of anyone. I certainly didn't lol.
Im glad your enjoying your time here. Good luck to you.
Thank you all for the kind words
