The Art of Happiness is simple.

Be satisfied with your life. If you are not satisfied, make a change.

Happiness is overrated. It is a fleeting emotion.

It is better to be satisfied you are accomplishing the important things in your life and relish those happy emotions when they happen.

Happiness is a state of mind, but if you try to be happy all the time, you are going to get frustrated. Happiness is the result of the good things that happen to you. It is usually the result of something external and often out of your control.

Being satisfied is more internal. It is the result of achieving your goals. You know what you want to accomplish in your life and you know you are progressing toward your dreams as best you can.

Happiness is hard to find if you are not satisfied with your life.

The pillars of Happiness.

  1. Accomplishment - Knowing you are working on things that are important to you.
  2. Finding Your Purpose - Purpose gives you a reason for living.
  3. Achieving your life goals. - The result of consistent accomplishment.

The three pillars support your satisfaction with your life. Happiness comes as a natural result of achieving your goals.

Most of us at WA are not satisfied. We are here because we want more from our lives. That doesn’t mean we are not happy. We know we are learning skills that can make a difference in our lives.

We are on our way to becoming successful Internet Marketers.

We are happy when we see our small accomplishments:

  • Getting indexed
  • Getting ranked
  • Building a list
  • Making our first sale
  • And we are ecstatic when we reach out initial income goals.

Are you happy? If so great. What is it that satisfies you and makes you happy. If you are not happy, what is the negativity in your life that keeps you from being satisfied?

I look forward to your comments below.

I understand what you're saying Bill
Happiness is fantastic but I doubt anyone can't truly day they are happy 100% of the time.
It's how we handle those unhappy moments that can make all the difference. Jim

I disagree with your evaluation of happiness. When you like yourself and go through your life with the right attitude, you will accomplish the goal of feeling satisfied. Yes there are ups and downs but happiness is a peace within ourselves. If you are unhappy, reevaluate direction and make some changes. Don't let others RAIN ON YOUR PARADE!!! We only LIVE once it's OUR job to make the most of it.

well said Marti
Keep being you!!! :)

My Point is happiness an emotion that comes and goes based on external stimulus. It is more important to know what you want to accomplish in your life and be satisfied you are making progress toward your goal.

You can be happy at a party. But too much partying is going to lead to an unfulfilled life.

What do you think? Maybe we are just disagreeing on semantics. I can be happy when I am accomplishing things that are important to me. But I think of that as being satisfied.

Thanks Vickic3, I was shocked by the statement "Happiness is overrated. It is a fleeting emotion" and had to share my feelings.

Hi Bill808, I understand now that your message had a different purpose than I thought at first.
I do think your choice of words "Happiness is overrated. It is a fleeting emotion" were out of line with your true idea.

Thanks for a nice reminder about happiness : )
