Perpetual Motion Machine
I have blogged in the past that it would be great to get momentum going on by our early effort to the point that after a while, we just collect to benefits without much effort on our part.
And that IS part of what we want. We want a bit of perpetual motion in our affiliate endeavors. While this is true, there will always come a time for us to get back and get involved.
All attempts by physicists to create a machine that needs no external power source have failed. It is against the laws of nature and physics. Yet we hope for one.
So, as we work feverishly now, hoping for some Perpetual Motion, we will get some. But there will never come the time that we can walk entirely away.
The good part is that we continue to build a foundation that makes each change, decision, correction or widening easier and more focused.
But I do believe that we can and should create a (Near) Perpetual Motion model for our business! But don't fret when we have to roll up the old sleeves and do some tweaking!
Just sayin

Yes, totally agree BDF, and with the joy and fulfillment found in our efforts it would be hard to walk away anyway. Thanks for the reminder not to take it too easy and forget about what we have built. "An unattended garden will probably never grow". My best to you.

Totally agree. We must always work for what we get. How we work for it all depends. After all, everything worth doing is always challenging. The perpetual motion we seek comes with consistency and momentum. And its our job to oversee that we fuel the consistency and momentum into our businesses.
Thanks for your great post.

Yes Fred, it takes a lot of hard work to get there, but eventually you will have income from sites you may not have touched in months.
Then it would be a good idea to revisit and add to them as things change so quick and information can get outdated.
Love the Perpetual Motion analogy!
How true, Ben, and thanks for the reminder about how quickly things change and how we need to stay on top of things to keep them fresh.
