Doing The Google Indexing Rain Dance

So tomorrow will be 10 days since first post on my site. Every day, actually multiple times a day I login to WA to see if by chance, my site has been indexed by Google. And multiple times a day I'm left feeling disappointed.

I have new posts on a more than weekly basis, using keyword rich posts and engaging (maybe begging) people to comment on my posts. But I'm hitting that wall and feeling like this site will never catch on.

So I'm continuing to do all the things I've learned to earn a Google index:

1. Keyword rich posts

2. Engaging people to comment

3. Replying to visitor's comments

Sooooooooooooo what else can be done? Dancing. Yep, I'm going to dance. I'm channeling my inner Elaine Bennett. I'm not, let's say the best dancer, but I'm not going to stop until Google gets on board with my site. Also, I need to keep my dancing skills sharp, so I can eventually embarrass my two children at their wedding. That's what dads are for, right?

So dance with me all! And let the Google indexes rain down!!

Cheers!

Doing whatever, that is a great rule to follow Bryan. It will happen...
Ray

Thanks Ray! I'm keeping the faith!

Cheers!

Hi Bryan,

Keep dancing eventually Google will index your website! I hope it happens soon! Best of luck with your indexing!

Much success to you!

Kind regards,
Nichola

Love your attitude, my site has been indexed with google but my content has yet to be indexed and I'm struggling with that a little. Honestly I'm not sure what it means when your site is indexed but your content isn't lol. But everyday I look and everyday it's not indexed. I too have done everything that I'm suppose to so I guess I continue to wait and do the "Elaine Dance" lol.

Best of luck getting indexed in the near future.

Thanks! I know that I'm still very new to this and still have a lot to learn. But I figure a little dancing won't hurt :)

Best of luck to you!

Cheers!

To the left under "live events", you should search for the training on Google and Bing search consoles, and take a look at that. If you're articles aren't indexed, that will help you out.

Thank you! Added to my goals this week!

Cheers!

awesome! Thanks.

Hi Bryan - have you verified your website with Google Search Console, submitted your sitemap and requested indexing?

That can really speed thinks up (and provide you with some helpful tools).

Hi Laurie! I've heard about this, but haven't yet looked into the details on how to accomplish this.

Maybe this should be my next move. Thank you!

Cheers!

When you're ready ...

First, you need to verify your website with Google Search Console: Then you need to submit your sitemap, and finally request indexing for individual posts as they're published.

This is training by Marion Black on submitting your sitemap to Google Console: Next, this training covers how to submit new posts for indexing as you publish them:

Wow! This is amazing Laurie! This will my be goal for the next week! Thank you again!

People like you are why this WA community is so amazing!

Cheers!

I'm glad to help! I think you'll feel a lot more in control of your "relationship with Google" once you've got that squared away.
