Sure, I'll try WA!

That's what I said 2 weeks ago, and I promised in my goal page to devote 3 hours per day and 7 days per week, for 52 weeks...

...and 2 of those are now over, so let's sum it up!

Expenditures after Week 2:

Time: 26 hours (again, well over the 21 hours committed)

Cumulative Money Spent: 82 dollars (no additional costs in week 2)

Accomplishments after Week 2:

My Site is ranked by Google now and site health increased every day.

My affiliate standing leapt up to 1357.

I Created a Gravatar, two in fact, as I also created a second User for my blogs.

Started a Google + account and have 27 followers

Enhanced website with blog responses and 2 extra keyword pages

Learned how to delete my entire footer and remove my ability to log in. Also learned how to replace footer and use the PHP code to properly edit my footer. (cost me hours)

Added several images to my site, reviewed numerous other sites as well and book marked those similar to mine.

Watched a LOT of videos on WordPress - my skill and understanding continues to progress.

Made it to Course 3 lesson 2, which has just now started to talk about signing up to affiliate sites.

Earnings: $0

As with week 1, I really didn't expect to make any monetary profit in 1 week. I still I certainly expect to make money before 6 months is up.

Disappointments:

After 51 hours of working on this thing over 2 weeks, I kind thought I would have at least 1 link on my site. I guess that might be putting the cart before the horse, but when I review other people's sites that have been in for 6 or 8 weeks I am literally stunned at how nice they are.

Really shocked, as I was last week, at how user-unfriendly WordPress seems to be. I just want one of my pages to be different from the rest, ok? So after hours and hours of research and watching videos, I am completely unable to accomplish this.

All this work to get followers, traffic, SEO ranking, etc and having a very immature site at this point is kind of silly to me. It is kind of like advertising in the paper, radio and television about my new store, placing a guy outside my new store with a big waving sign to attract people, so they can all come in and see there is absolutely nothing to buy in my store. Bare shelves. So, just follow the plan, right?

Encouragements:

Ok, I am encouraged that my site is ranked, has some content and pictures, and that I am about to start throwing in affiliate links to actually gain the ability to make money.
