More ideas for creating Success!

As many of you who follow me know, I have been working my tail off to get this site in good standing. I put in a minimum of 10+ hours on it daily just writing content and getting ideas from other WA users and people on Facebook on the website's page, my friends, my family, and other individuals who simply leave comments asking for help.

In addition to requesting user input for content ideas, I have allowed them to HELP design my logo, so they feel that they are welcomed, valued, and have a say in the website, too. Kind of like it's a community. After all, we want our visitors to feel a sense of "community" in our site, so they are comfortable and confident in our skills and our appreciation of them.

I've networked with rescue groups, wrote product reviews for companies and allowed them to see my review on their products, which did get me accepted into affiliate programs for them AND got me a mention on their social media pages. I joined communities for pet bloggers, networked with other people who do similar things, and of course, those business cards for those rare moments when I leave my house and can talk to someone about a product I see them buying. All very nice, but could I do more?

You can ALWAYS do more. You are a living, breathing thing, and you can ALWAYS learn MORE. The more you know about your niche, the more valuable your website becomes. You have more to offer your audience when you make it a priority to learn all that you can about your niche, keeping an open mind to all possibilities.

It was recently brought to my attention that I need to attend veterinary school because my passion for animals is inspiring and could even save lives. I don't know if I have the guts to see animals suffering like that--sick, abused, dying.. I want to help, I do, believe me I do, but some people need to be tougher than me to do that job.

With that said, it was also brought to my attention by OTHER people who blog about cat stuff that there are ONLINE certification programs for cat training, health, and behaviors. Three classes at ten weeks each, and requiring community service in the niche [which I already do]. I could get an education at my own time/convenience, and get the hands on experience too while getting certified. That cert. makes me MORE credible among my audience, and opens MORE doors--Possibly cat behavior consultations for sale? :]

If you have the money and a little free time, look into your options for getting schooling on your niche! It could open doors for you that you didn't think of before. The only way you could know is if you meet people in your niche -- talk to people, network, get your name out, exchange ideas, and see what is out there. Wealthy Affiliate offers you community support on your ideas and your website, but YOU are the driving success behind it all. If you can get as many people on your side as possible, you can only learn more, experience more, and offer your readers MORE.

Expand your horizons, lovelies. I'm still fairly new at this, and my whole life I've been pretty antisocial. I'm going out of my comfort zone, taking on a HUGE workload [getting a full time job, doing TWO college majors full time, taking on an animal cert class soon, and still making time for my site, my cats, friends, family...]--ALL of this to further my success. Success takes a LOT of hard work, time, effort, and at times, will be QUITE frustrating.

To end this, I'll leave you with this very inspiring quote from my favorite actor, Sylvester Stallone.

"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are; it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life...
But it ain't about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. It's about how much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done...
Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not point fingers and blame other people. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!"

This hits home to me for so many reasons. I've been victimized, homeless, and broke. Stallone is my inspiration when things get tough, like now, but if you keep working hard, and keep your focus, you WILL overcome whatever comes your way.

Sherrie

Bemeyering, once again well done. Also, again for talking me off the ledge the other day in chat (heehee jk but, I was seriously worried about my friend.) People like you make this community great my dear. I've rescued animals as long as I can remember but, I drew the line at making it a full - time thing for the same reasons you aren't rushing into vet school. Now, I just support my friends who rescue and drive donations to them whenever possible. Thank you for the inspiring words. Gotta love that brother Stalone is your favorite actor.

"Procrastination's a disease.....and I'm it's cure"

Absolutely brilliant. What an impressive young talent! You should do seminars with that attitude and passion. Thank you.

To hear this come to life, look up "It is not how hard you can hit" on YouTube, or put in any Stallone movie. :]
