Website Worth & Domain Value Calculator
Hey there!
This morning I stumbled upon a website called www.siteprice.org/ that, supposedly, will calculate any website's price and domain value.
I checked my website, out of curiosity, but I took the results with a grain of salt lol (estimated price $1,283). I don't want to sell my website, not yet anyway!
The results will give you tons of info such as :
- website information
- site visibility
- social media visibility
- backlinks (although in the light of Kyle's very interesting post, we shouldn't pay too much attention to them =) )
- estimated traffic website and revenue
- top competitors
What I don't understand is that, according to the results I got, my website is not ranked on google... while I know for a fact (I've checked incognito and used jaaxy siterank) that several of my posts are ranked #1 on the first page of google.
So my question is, do you know this website? is it reliable?
Are such websites worth using? Is there a similar website that you would recommend in case someone wanted to sell their website/domain?

A real world example. A site called Bitcoin Zebra - a bitcoin faucet - is worth $410K according to http://siteprice.org. This site was actually sold this February for $ 11K. BTW - mine main site is worth $1.610. Now I just have to find a fool who would give this much for it :)
yeah definitely, like I said below, I tried other similar websites and they all came up with different results so it's hard to know what to think. I'll just take into account some of the results such as "social network popularity" or "site load speed" etc.
You could try estibot but again that grain of salt. I've noticed a big difference sometimes between that and siteprice
I tried it and there was indeed a different between it and siteprice. I then decided to try more websites and they all gave me different results lol....
hi Sarah not sure about this site, but I would take it with a grain of salt.
I am not sure how they value sites usually way off beam, what I would use a site like this for is valuing generic things like site load times for example, this can have a major impact when talking in terms of selling a website, sometimes a site like this will offer ways to improve things which may help the health of the site, just a thought.
Yeah I definitely took the results with a grain of salt, especially since similar websites gave me totally different results... one of them said my website was worth around $3000 and another $160 lol...
I just think that they can be useful to assess certain metrics, like you said

It's not really reliable. In the real world the income of your site determines how much someone will pay for it. Usually anywhere from 10 x monthly earnings up to 20 or 30 times, for an awesome, well established site.
For the domain name, the vast majority of those which are 3 or 4 words together eg. Mysiteisawesome.com - are worthless.
