Secret Sauce Part 3: BOGO Results Are In!
I use the MailPoet plugin for my autoresponder, newsletters, etc. on my site. There, I had the option to use SendGrid or my website's host. I chose SendGrid.
First, I exhausted all of my SendGrid free emails (the SendGrid allows 12K to be sent out for free). I didn't realize it right away, so a bunch of email errors started occurring. I started getting feedback that my emails were empty. Others in my Facebook group (described below) said that they didn't receive any email at all.
I had to reconfigure my settings.
Second, my only other option was to resend using my host, which is WA. Sending through your website host leads to emails going to SPAM or not making it to the subscriber at all.

So, at the beginning of the week, I was getting dramatically better CTR because more emails were opened.
Fortunately, I have a Secret Facebook page just for that website so people attached to Social Media could get the information that way.
Even with the email campaign not working and not all of my subscribers joining my Facebook page, $1714 in orders went out this week. I didn't get the bonus I was hoping for, but the return on my investment of time will surely still pay off!
I'm satisfied with the results. The hurdles may have decreased sales or they may not have. It's hard to say. I'm going to enjoy what I have and be ready for next time.

Wow Becky! I have not gotten into the email system like you are doing. I'm still new in the website building business. I see here in WA more and more that people are talking about using emails for notifications to customers. I know somewhere along the line I'll learn this aspect of marketing. For me it's great to read your posts about it, and your successes.

I wouldn't write them if I didn't think they would help because I have loads of other thing to do. I like the feeling that comes with doing something for someone else.
