To Podcast or not to Podcast

I have a Facebook group for customers who frequently visit my site to shop or get more info about the products in a personalized way. Over 100 members are there this week, I asked them how they like to access information and be served. Now, I'm getting a request to create a podcast.
Do you recommend using a plugin on Wordpress or going directly to iTunes and Google Play?

I'm thinking why not create YouTube videos you can integrate them on your page and monetize your YouTube content at the same time? Double profit.
I do have YouTube videos. I need to request info about why they want Podcasts. Is it for on the go or could they use YouTube?
Yeah for me there doesn't have to be a difference between the two mediums. Since your followers want your opinion on certain products. I'm curious to why they request the podcsst. Do they know about your YouTube content?
Good question. So far, it's just one person who requested it. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the effort. If it's worth it, I could put the audio version of my videos out there for those subscribers who like to learn on the go (while driving or running/exercising).
True but audio created as the sole purpose as being and staying audio would be better in that case. Taking audio away from a video probably not all.of it will make sense.
