Let me show you how to focus when in doubt:

#1: it's all about You. Setting up your website for the first time, for example, day one should be focused on You. Who are You? This website has a heart, a chore, an author, and it's You. If your website doesn't reflect your own drive, your own interest, then it won't stand the distance. That's what they call Branding. Branding starts with a chore self and that's what you should enjoy entertaining. Entertain yourself to be, for who you are, first. Consider your personality, your lifestyle, the things you enjoy for yourself. Always easier to write for yourself than for someone out there you have to guess about. And since You are connected, you will attract better by being You.

#2: Think: Situation, Location, Event - In classic marketing classes, they tell you to think up a need to answer. Flip this and ask yourself, what situations would I enjoy participating in? What environment, situation, event would I be eager to engage in? At WA, that's what they call "Finding Your Niche"

#3: Spiritually speaking, this is where the Self (#1), in co-creative situation (#2) expresses itself (#3). 101 Expression = #3 It's never perfect, but it validates you within the space.

#4: Home base from which to swing from - Here, you square things off, you structure, you deal with making things strong, meaningful, standing strong on its own. SEO's, Google+, analytics, categories, contact info, etc. are to be dealt with here.

#5: Birthing! Oh yeah! This is Expression 102 and this is when you've got your creative juices up and running to give birth and tell the world. You can't do it correctly if you haven't got #s 1-4 right. If you don't, you'll have to go back and realize what you started off with doesn't flow with what you want to create.This is when people struggle the most because ideas and realities don't seem to match. You doubt your marketing power, you doubt the layout or the writing. you may even doubt the purpose of it all! When you're here, contemplate. You are already in the birthing process, and this little being of yours is about to take its flight on its own. So stay steady, check 1-3 to stay aligned with who you are, what your co-creating and how you want to express it. Then check #4 and make sure everything works for the best. Once done, you can fling open up the doors for real for this is the stage when others take notice, give you credit and when interest in buying starts.
