Something Got Me Thinking
Last night, I was sitting at my computer trying to come up with either a review of some kind on some martial arts equipmen, tools or weapons OR some content explaining how to improve martial skills that a beginner could follow and a veteran would find useful. Nothing!! I must have sat at my computer for two (2) hours and got NOTHING done. I went to bed discouraged.
It wsa further increased by my wife saying, "I was worroed about that. You have a different viewpoint than many martial artsists and you have values so high that you won't write about anything you don't support; even if it is business." She suggested I should have gone with another one of my passions, Information Technology and gadgets. It's true, I'm a technophile.
I went to sleep with a heavy heart.
Then It Hit Me
I woke up this morning and sat down at my computer intending to work. I went through, followed some people on the WA network, read and liked some stories and out of the blue....
BAM!!! Just like a load of bricks. I HAVE BEEN MOVING TOO FAST!!!
In my martial classes, I caution my students to slow down because they are moving too slowly. Basically, it means that they are pushing and trying too hard and slowing themselves down. If they just relax and let theiir minds and bodies flow with he needs of the moment, their speed will increase and they will get more done with less effort. I think it's time to take my own advice.
I have 25 sites I can put my own domain on and 25 more I can use a subdomain of siterubix.com. I don't need to write a content or review post every day on ONE topic. If I do that, I might even wind up pushing my audience away because of the sheer volume of my content. I need to give people time to see and digest what I'm trying to say.
After all, aren't I in this to gain more time to spend with my family but still make enough to support them? I can set up multiple sites and multiple niches - the ones I'm passionate about - and write a little on each one on a schedule.
So... that's what I'm going to do.I have three things that I know REALLY well; martial arts, Information Technology and cooking. I'm going to cycle through all three niches on a schedule and afford myself some time off to spend with my family and REST!!!
I'll keep everyone updated with how it goes.

I am a Black Belt in Martial Arts and you can never learn enough techniques and styles. I still love learning new ways. Sometimes you have to mix techniques together to come up with your own style.
I know how it feels to be overwhelmed at times as well! I think you're on the right track! Good luck!
It can get overwhelming at times. Sometimes you just need to take a break to clear your mind.
