Hi Brent
Ok - Go to Amazon Affiliate login, then go to Product linking as in the screenshot below
Choose your product and click go
A new page will open and down the bottom of this page you will see some product - Here Click - Get Link and a link will open with the picture included
Ok - highlight this link and then head back to your post in Wordpress
In the document where you want to place the link type (inset) then highlight this and the change the visual to text in the box on the right and you will see your highlighted word insert in there.
Ok, now click paste and then update and finally go back to visual and your Amazon link should be right where you want it ready to go

Thank you for your answer. I followed your instructions to the letter and here is what I got.
This has been the case every time I attempt to add the product banners in the Word Press editor. I'm not sure what the issue is here, but the result is clear.
Update: I was able to paste the image using the "image only" link provided on the same page. It works perfectly. Below is a clip of the result.
It's not EXACTLY what I was looking for, but it will work for the time being.
