The person who referred me here hasn't been active with me either, but on the other hand, I haven't been active with them either. But I have been following and getting involved in discussions and meeting more and more people here every day. Everyone is here to help everyone. I am here a lot so if you have a question, just ask. More than happy to help.

Sometimes it can feel like that, yes! Still, the more people you follow, the more will follow you. And more will read your posts on WA. And you will get all your questions answered, if the help can answer it. Sometimes I ask a question and it takes days, even weeks to get the right answer but the community tries a lot. And that is what I like about it. We try to help each other as mush as possible. So my advice to you, try it, follow people, interact with the WA community, see how people respond to you and your posts and respond to the people you follow. Look around the classrooms, read different posts and just click on like. Sometimes it takes just that to get notice. It is hard sometimes, I feel that way too. I'm kinda of a looner by period. My heart is to you, but don't give up. Try it full throttle, you'll see. This community is well worth it!

I've been here for about 5 months, I always get my questions answered. I agree that the one who referred you should find out if you need help getting started. It can be overwhelming at first, but take it in steps and ask questions if you need help. Wish you success.

You will find that people here tend to answer questions and get involved when you do the same. You may be correct to expect more from the person who referred you here, but only the people who are following you see your post. The exception is the Activity Dashboard from where I am working now. Friendships here must be cultivated, just like in real life. If you have made up your mind to leave, so be it, but I genuinely believe that you will be missing out on the support you will need to have a great income generating website.

Trialynn - thank you so much! I had no idea that only those following me saw my posts. I also realize that people aren't going to chase me down. I understand that. I don't get involved much and do keep to myself. I know that's my own fault. Either way, thanks for listening and your response. Maybe I'm frustrated that the person I joined under hasn't really made any type of contact. Ehhh life goes on. :)

What part of the world are you in? What time zone? What do you need help with most? Do you want social interaction or help with your website construction or both?

I am actually great with creating a site (just haven't found time to finish) and I think just interacting with others is a good jumping off point. I'm on the East coast, Pennsylvania actually. I totally get where you're coming from. It not that there's no help, but sometimes I feel like I don't even know the right questions to ask, (I've only been here about month myself). But I've already met and mingled with some great people. Best advice is to use the live chat first, and then goto the question list especially if you need a quick response.
WA is kinda like marriage (or what I've seen of marriage in movies haha) : The first month will be the toughest.
Why? It is your first exposure. You're brand new. You gotta learn so many things that your brain can't possibly (or maybe it can) absorb that much information.
What I reccommend is to outreach to others and comment with information whenever you can. Check out the blogs in your network and send a follow to people who are active.
Asking might be a hassle. I never liked to ask for anything because that's just the way I am. But if you have a question to which you have no answer, the community is here to help.

Set a goal each day and "eat a piece of the cake" each day and pretty soon you'll be done with your website in no time
