I’m on my way to catch Covid19!

I'm sitting at the departure lounge in Denpasar Ngurah Rai airport and on my way to Singapore and it's not out of choice.

I should qualify my title out of respect for all the Singaporeans on the WA platform. If I have to travel anywhere out of choice that would be Singapore - because it is a clinically tidy place and a lot of fun. But I don't really have a choice. I'm on a 24 hour visa run. And Singapore has been infected with the Corona virus.

I am taking all the right precautions, and putting on masks and avoiding proximity with strangers . I am washing hands obsessively and rubbing alcohol on them. All good there.

The only problem is that my iPhone is no longer doing face recognition 🙃

To some extent, I am annoyed with the Indonesians. So far Bali which is where I am headed out from) has not been infected with the virus, but immigration have been adamant that I leave the country and return in 24 hours rather than extend my tourist visa. It almost feels like walking me down the plank. Of course I know that I am exaggerating and blowing this totally out of proportion, but I still have a twinge of discomfort.

So I am going to turn all my negativity into positivity. Since I have no choice but to walk down the proverbial plank, I am going to do it in style.

My Plans for Singapore

I have never stayed at the infamous Marina Bay Sands hotel, and I figured that one night is not going to break the bank as yet. I am going to have a swim in the rooftop pool which stands on the 57th floor _ and gaze down on Singapore. I will go to their amazing art centre and see whatever their current exhibition is. And I will go to the incredible shopping mall of marina sands and do a touch of shopping. I will also have dinner in causeway bay and eat the best crab with Singaporean black pepper. and just perhaps.... I will meet someone from WA. I have it all planned out.

And when I'm done, I am going to have great material for my travel blog www.femaleflyingsolo.com I am already planning a post in the mood of 24 hours in Singapore 🇸🇬 after doing keyword research on Jaaxy.

So there it is that is my plan on how I am going to find my silver lining on the cloud hanging over me and turn anxiety to positivity.

As a final note

I will use my airport time to read and comment on other blogs on WA and build up new friendships. I will also head to the Q and A section and read through some of that because I have found this to be a great source of information.

In conclusion when I was at college and complained about the drudgery of having to go through an exam, one of my tutors had told me "Girl....listen up...if rape is imminent, relax and enjoy it...". I will embrace that maxim and relax and enjoy my time in Singapore
