In the beginning…
Two years ago I left a very lucrative career due to stress; when I went searching for a new career, I found myself disappointed with the options. I decided to go back to graduate school and received my Masters in Education, I still found myself lost and searching. I didn’t want to answer to anyone anymore, I wanted to do something that was fun and made sense on a daily basis.
I am definitely someone who needs challenge and intellectual stimulation in all parts of my life and I really wanted to find something that would meld with my high energy and my border line need to experience life in its every facet. I had always heard of people working from home and being moderately successful, since I was desperately trying to find something I thought why not work from home while I figure it out.
This was a lot more challenging than I had ever realized, due to how many dishonest people there are in the world! I was a victim of scam, with a company called “Liberty Medical”. However, I was fortunate and only lost $199 where I have heard and read some horror stories! After much research I narrowed it down to two, Ameriplan and Wealthy Affiliate, the reason is both of these companies offer residual income.
Residual income is where you continue to make commissions off of previous sales; so if I made a sale in 2010 and the consumer loves the product and continues to use it forever, then every year or month, depending on the program, I would make commission, absolutely brilliant! Make your money work for you, not the other way around.
Ameriplan really did seem like an amazing opportunity but I didn’t want to be on the phone to make money, I was in the call center environment for five years and I just wasn’t that interested. If I was going to work at home it was going to be on my terms,
because you have to have self-discipline if you are going to even remotely be
successful.
I came to Wealthy Affiliate looking to try affiliate marketing with residual income. From
everything that I had researched, Wealthy Affiliate is number one when it came
to training you on how to build a successful online business that just didn’t
provide you income but also helped you build residual income, again bonus because that money is reoccurring
I was so excited that you could have a free membership to sample their product and services it made me feel that they were confident in their product! They were so confident they allowed me to use it for seven days at their premium level; this is when I knew Wealthy Affiliate was not a scam!
I completed Wealthy Affiliate’s Affiliate Bootcamp in about a month; I was amazed by how much they teach you in such a short time frame; I started with the bootcamp because I wanted to see if this was going to fit; did I believe in this product, do I think this will actually work, with what Wealthy Affiliate is teaching me; after only weeks I am extremely excited to continue forward. I see real potential in what they are teaching and because they break the lessons up in such a digestible manner I am able to breeze through them.
Due to being new I spend a lot of time in the training classrooms, when I suffer from writer’s block I look up that topic or watch a training video. If the writer’s block breaks, I stop and write; I am always doing one or the other.
I have always wanted to operate my own business and truly support myself, however, I could never find anything that wouldn't cost a fortune to start, that is what makes Wealthy Affiliate appealing, the start-up costs to have your own business, are basically nothing. (Free Membership, or Premium for $47)
I started school to obtain my Master Personal Trainer Certification which will certify me in, personal training, senior fitness, stretching, and nutrition; from there I will create a health and wellness website. I am hoping over the next year to develop these websites and see where it leads me. I am extremely excited as I have already started to see success in this business!
