Fellow Affiliates

Is there anything wrong in posting a link for a publication I made concerning my experience in an online fraud that happens to me for fellow affiliates

is spam punishable - yes .
it only take two members to click on the spam button for you to lose your writing rights.
you then have to appeal to Kyle to get them back.
Yes the info may have been useful, but as Mikael has said then section 9 come into it.
I have seen members abuse this to get high domain authority backlinks to their site to boost rankings - so would advise against promoting your own site.
if you feel that strongly then create an article on your blog here as it is relevant.
Good luck Azogor.

Then section 4 and section 9 need to be done away with if they are in contrast
Alot of confusion here I see just remove the sections and replace with only in your links in profile would be the right thing. That's the 3rd answer I heard so far it's creating confusion and frustration

Don't get me wrong you bring a good point I'm just trying to understand it thanks

Section 4 and 9 are not in contrast. I general any attempt to promote yourself or your site or any other product (even in a subtle way) is spam.

Unfortunately some members here still get away with abusing (sometimes even experienced members) it because sometimes people do not notice. That is why it is important that we all as a community help making people aware when they break the rules, so we can keep WA spam free

I understand now. What about in your profile I think it says link that's the best place if anywhere well I'll read this article real quick

in the links section below your profile is where you are allowed to put a link to your own website.

That's exactly my contention, it then becomes difficult to relate useful information to the community if its been published to your website already. Let this rules be revisited and made clearer to avoid default, especially to us new comers.

In this case, it's better to do away the follow me section in your profile section.

Further, why kyle still create these two pages to help WA members? Yes, we all don't want spam but rule no 4 should prevail here.

More helpful info thanks

maybe with the number of members now it is time for the rules to be revised and signed off by all members.
I think the rules were made to keep it loose(ish) to say 'use common sense and don't try to use the platform for your own gains'.
but with the number of members now these will be abused.
without authorised controlling members these rules will never be made official as they cannot be policed, it is still on the heads of all members to know and interpret the rules and report infractions.
As said - interpretation - what one rule means to one it doesn't mean to another. So a bit of common sense and a friendly 'doesn't this break the rules' comment may not go amiss.

Wow that just opened up some new doors

I think with the new way of doing sitecomment these may be done away with in the near future.
but use of these pages is made clear in the training, but still the members are abusing it by asking for comments in return.
what should be done is to comment on three posts and then add your link to the top for comment.
there are a few members who have stuck to the method of the training but a lot just ask for comments.

I agree SiteComments is better and truthful
I do like the way I can easily view peoples websites though and let them know how they are doing
Thanks for all the help and understanding it means alot

Did you read the blog check them out if you haven't I guess we found out now though

Well I never knew what spam was well meaning now I do it makes sense cheating, shortcuts, unfair gain nope I want no part in it

If you made a post here to post a link to your own site it is considered self-promotion and spam.

In addition to section 4 in the rules, section 9 would also be relevant in this case:

"Do not post content where your readers are required to go to an external website to "read more". All of the content must be self contained within the post itself."

Where would I find these rules at I'm new never heard of it but I see lots of confusion about it I'll look for it in the mean time thanks

here you go:

Thank You

I didn't see this before I made sure all spam was gone from my account and completely understand why spam is no good for any business I'm glad you shared that for some reason it's the first I've seen of it..
