Moving from South Carolina to Florida
From closing on a house to moving, and all the fun stuff in between;-)
A new challenge in my life has been over the last two weeks and 1 more to come squeezing a good bit of time in to blog and keep up with the community;-) But so far not doing too bad I think lol
I really enjoy learning and interacting with the all of you in this community. Doesn't feel like work as much as moving is;-)
One of the advantages of being in the military some time in your life is it usually means that you become experienced in moving, often the moves are cross country which really adds to the fun.
What I have found to be true in moving as well as most things in life:
- It really pays to be organized
- When estimating the overall cost of your move, always go high(unexpected expenses always manifest)
- Always go bigger when you rent a truck(if you can) it is amazing how much stuff you accumulate
- Always give yourself more time than you think you need(again unexpected things do happen)
- Finally patience as in all things is definitely a must have;-)

I share your patience, surprises and headaches. LOL I recently moved last November right before having foot surgery. I still have some boxes packed. I hated it since I'm Ms. Organization, but hey now I'm well and can organize my house. Good luck!

Actually I live about 2 hours from myrtle beach now, place I am moving to is 40 minutes from orlando and walt disney world;-)
