Hey William,

If you have the AdBlock addon installed in your browser, you will not be able to see the Amazon iframes.

I've made this mistake myself and so now I use a DIFFERENT browser to check my Amazon iframe links.

Discovering this issue took me weeks before the cause was discovered, so I hope that by sharing my experience here with you, this may help you resolve your issue too.

maybe you may need to bite the bullet and learn the new block editor...
it's not that bad once you get used to it...
a bit restrictive but you can insert a lot more features automatically...
if you do go back to dreamweaver then you may need to find another host as wa only hosts wordpress sites not html...
i know what you mean about the old editor- at least you could manipulate the html...
it may be worth trying a basic page in html and adding it to a html block and seeing what happens...
that may be a workaround...

Thank you for your comments, good ideas. I just feel like the block editor is a dumb down tool and prefer the flexibility the old editor had. you can build a .com site in dreamweaver and then host it in WA, I've done that 8 years ago. going to look into the workaround later today, thanks again. :)

you may have done that 8 years ago - but not now...
they cringe every time html pages are added to sites - the reasons for the latest round on plugin bans....
i agree that the block editor is a sort of dumbed down version . but if you remember that wordpress is a database - so each block now has it's own identity...it sort of makes sense...
the problem is the way wordpress works...
it used to get sort of confused with all of the page in one 'block' ..
but you can sort of do that in a custom html block...
try it out on a test site...

looks like two steps forward and one back, thank you for your reminder of relational Database construction. the reason I ask the question was because of the poor results on a test page. but it was a good idea. i'll just modify the css and be done to move on. :)

You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh and try again. Try the URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty servers cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache

https://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache

or check the code again.

Thank you, did all of the above before I ask the question.

waiting until after i get response back form Amazon support but don't expect positive results as same code works on my godaddy site. then I'll reach out to our site support, don't want to burden them unless the community has a chance to comment. wish I could reach to Marion Black but as I was fighting cancer for the last two years (prostrate...Beat it they say, LOL); things have changed here at WA and I'm not having much luck getting around in the new environment. Maybe there is something to this getting old thing?
Thank you again

how to create blog and static pages - need Training link please. this new stuff is not what I'm used to, sorry Thank you

A page is by nature static, while a blog post isn't.

I don't recommend going with static pages unless you get a good idea on how to structure them on a menu. Google has not been a fan of my own structure, and while I still personally prefer it as it makes navigation to those pages easier in my opinion, it has not been of aid in SEO ranking.

So if you were to do that as I did, you would then also need to create a blog page that you would assign as the page for a blog (post) roll.

I apologize if my explanation isn't the greatest. I found a training here, although I sometimes wonder how much themes play a role in what we can do. So apologize if it isn't quite what you're looking for or is outdated.

thank you, got it done. now just have to write 25 articles, LOL

Glad to hear it worked out.

Yeah, finding the time to research and write can be a challenge for sure. :)

Jason

You mainly want to create your static homepage and another empty one called "blog". Then you go to Settings > Reading and choose the pages.

What is the best word press WA free template for blogs, pages & member only view? How can you add a login for pages only tobe viewed by members while all other pages are pu

I test it first before buying in, because that can be expensive.

You want to make sure they are responsive, extremely light, fast, well coded, SEO optimised, flexible, adaptable and customisable

You may try GeneratePress or Premium where you can extend the theme and can have many layout templates.
