My Progress at Wealthy Affiliate - What's Next?
So, i've been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for about a month or two now. I will be completely honest from here on. I have no doubt that I have signed up to one of the best platforms out there for affiliate marketing; I have researched enough to know that you're not going to find a community quite like this. And for that reason I am happy to have joined WA.
It's too early to say whether this platform really will be the key to giving me financial stability, but I have become well aware that I really do need to put in the effort to see success. Which brings me to my next point.... I need to start putting in more time and dedication. Don't get me wrong, I have made some good achievments so far, but i've been limited due to the lack of time spent working towards my goals. I plan to focus more on this in the near future.
The niche I have chosen to concentrate on relates to skincare, targetting those with problematic skin. I chose this topic because it affects me on a regular basis, and severely impacts my confidence. As a teenger, my skin was actually not that bad, but for some reason, since entering my 20's i've been cursed with acne-prone skin. What drives me is finding the best products, methods and solutions to not only help with my own skin concerns but also to help others just like me!
So far i've written a couple of posts and plan to write more soon. I'm quite happy to say that soon after publishing my first post, my website became indexed on google, which is a great achievement! I'm liking the way my website is coming along and can only visualise it to get better and better.
I definitely want to start writing reviews about specific products as I know people really want to hear about someone's experience with a product. My website is supposed to be dedicated to promoting the the latest, best and most raved about products in the market, so I will be doing a lot of research regarding this. At this stage I have not been affiliated with any websites yet but I know that's only because I have not yet reached that level of training!
Once I start decicating myself to Wealthy Affiliate more, i'm sure I will be closer to achieving my goals. I would ideally like to be earning enough to fully support myself through this platform. But i'm not just here for the money, I truly like the fact I am learning important and useful skills, and that is of equal value.

Sounds like you have made a great start! Ah the old friend time, it is so tough isn't finding the time to dedicate to this.
I think your Niche is brilliant because you will be helping people from personal experience. I wish I had a website like your when I was younger as when I was a teenager I suffered terribly with my skin.
Once you get your flow of writing, you will find the motivations will come. the key is finding what works for you and your time. If it is writing once a day great or if it is writing once a week, great. You have to fit this into to your life.

Hi. I think you had a great start here, at least better than me when I joined 3 years back.
You are sure of your niche, target audience, the products you'll be promoting. etc.
So what's next?
1. Finish the OEC (if you haven't).
2. Check out Dylan's training. It deals with Amazon but works for physical products. Introduction (Read First) 3.Keyword research + quality contents.
And as you're doing something related to health, here's some personal pointers as Google is becoming very strict with medical-related sites.
1. It's going to be very hard to rank articles like "How to treat acne" as preference will be given to sites like WebMD, Mayoclinic, etc.,
2. Make your About page extensive. Let the audience know who you are, why you're using the product. are you a medical professional or if not, what's your authority in this respect. If you're just a normal user, tell your reader how you review the product.
Google needs Expertise, Authority and Trustworthiness and it's always good to build that from the start.
3. Write reviews. "Best of articles" work well for physical products. Single review if it's an expensive product like $100 and above. You can check what your competitors are doing.
4. Be patience. Success doesn't happen overnight. Probably take 6 months before your site starts getting real traffic.
You'll need lots of articles and the right types of articles for sales to happen.
