How I Earned More than 8 Million Views on YouTube Over 4 Years
Hey everyone,
In 2015, I joined Wealthy Affiliate (under the username BushiAntz), and the account still seems to be registered here. Sadly, I failed my projects and took a break from this online stuff.
It wasn't until 2019 that I started another project online (under the same name). This time, I made a gaming channel. For those of you who have tried YouTube, you'll understand that gaming is one of the most saturated niches out there.
Yet, I was still able to get my content seen by millions of people.
So, this small blog for WA will quickly go over the few main points I learned about content during my four years as a gaming YouTuber and how to get people to connect with you and your content.
Also, here is the link to my (well I guess you can say old) YouTube channel & TikTok pages:

Firstly, Your Content Must Help People.
Now, I don't mean this in a tutorial or guide sense. Sure, those make it easier, but people can be helped in other ways.
For example, people have jobs and things they must get through in their day-to-day lives, and having a spare 20 minutes for entertainment could help them get through the day.
On average, a typical YouTube viewer will spend 41 minutes of their day watching videos. That's not a lot of time!
Entertainment is a feeling of joy and excitement, so if you can make content that not only teaches but engages the viewers and makes them feel some pleasure, you will see your views and subscribers increase.
Secondly, People Need to Be Interested in That Topic.
Your ceiling is determined by how many people are interested in that topic. My gaming channel was based on the Formula 1 games. When I got started, F1 (and sim racing as a whole) wasn't super popular.
The pandemic helped with that, and with the waves of new sim racers, I could put out helpful & entertaining content that they enjoyed.
Also, since we were all into the same topic, connecting with my viewers was easier. To the point where even though I am no longer in the YouTube space, I still have people commenting that they miss me and would love to see me back someday.
That's the power of connecting with people who share the same interests as you and your content.
Thirdly, Create Now - Improve Later
The best way to get started as a content creator is to start creating content now and look at how to improve later. To be completely blunt, your first 50 - 100 videos will suck.
Okay, not all of them, but many of your first videos will suck, and that's okay. All you need to worry about is the same thing as you do with building a website full of content... Start posting.
As you move forward, you will learn systems and techniques to improve your content, and viewers will see your determination and help you along the way.
Sure, MrBeast makes videos and doesn't like them, so he scraps them, but he's been in the YouTube game for years and years.
Even he said when he started, he just posted random stuff until he learned what worked for him.
I recommend at least having decent audio quality and 1080p recording to start with, but other than that, you can learn along the way.
I can make a future post about the equipment I used to create content if anyone wants to see that in more detail.
Lastly, Enjoy What You're Doing.
This is a surface-level post, so I will go into more detail in the future if anyone wants me to, but yeah, enjoy what you're doing because uploading content consistently by yourself is very stressful and can easily chip away at your mental health.
I experienced a lot of bouts of depression solely caused by the stress of uploading content almost every day.
And that's coming from someone who loved what he did. So, whatever content you decide to post, make sure that you genuinely enjoy the topic.
That's It!
Just a quick post to get me back into Wealthy Affiliate. I did leave many details out, but feel free to leave a comment with any questions, and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
I am starting a part-time job alongside this, and I am pretty active with my physical health, so I'm not sure how long it will take to respond to any comments, but I will try my best.
Wishing everyone the best!

Any Advice on Subscribers, I am doing really well with watch time, but struggle a little getting subscribers particularly...
In my experience, YouTube is shying away from sub counts being important. Think about how you consume videos on YouTube. At least for me, I rarely visit the subscription feed due to how good the recommendation feed is for content.
So, your sub count isn't as important as your "Returning Visitor" statistic. However, I understand that people not subbing can be a horrible feeling as you start to wonder why (& also, sub counts can look good to potential brand partners).
I advise making a simple yet catchy call to action within your videos.
Just a nice short message in between your content that reminds people to subscribe as it helps you out and helps prioritise future content in their feed.
I hope this helps!
Good morning Anthony,
Well done for rejoining the Wealthy Affiliate platform, it's a great platform, hence why I have been here almost 9 years!
It's great that you have found success with YouTube, hopefully with the additional training from Wealthy Affiliate you can have even more success.
Wishing you all the best.
Roy
Awesome job man! I have around 2,300 subscribes on mine. I quit posting videos for about 7 - 8 years. I started back up earlier this year. Which reminds me I need to go post a video it's been a few weeks...lol.
Hi there, Anthony.
Congratulations on your return to Wealthy Affiliate and the success of your your YouTube channel.
