2016 Goal - Five Figure Income

The Goal - Make at least $10,000 from my own online work by December from new projects. I will not be including income from freelancing as that still is me technically working for someone else.

So I was just chatting with someone in live chat and was telling her about an epiphany I had while getting ready for work today.

Just the idea of going to work now makes me cringe and makes me almost physically ill. It's not that I don't like my job, because I do, it is one of the reasons I do my online stuff part time but it has gotten to the point where I hate relying on other people for stuff to get done. Some of my coworkers make me want to pull my hair out. It is really frustrating to know that you can be doing 3x as much work as someone and still be getting paid near the same.

That doesn't normally apply online. The harder you work and the more you put into your online endeavors the more you get out of it. Now don't get me wrong, there is a learning curve with lots of improving, trial and error, and sticking with it before seeing results but in the long run it is totally worth it. I just keep thinking "fudge" if I had spent as much time as I spend at my job to my websites I wouldn't have to keep putting up with this BS.

Well I have decided to fix this. I need to start putting the pedal to the metal and kick everything into high gear. I have already started blogging updates about a new site I made and I have now decided to actually blog income updates once a month.

Specifically my goal is to make five figures by the end of the year from brand new projects. This won't include any income I am already making as I know I can scale that up and I want to prove to myself that in 7-8 months from scratch I can really make something happen.

At the moment I am debating between three websites as well as starting some online self publishing. I have already put a few out there but haven't actually put a lot of focus into making that an income. There is a good chance I might build out all three website by the end of the year but will have to wait to see how the summer goes so I don't get completely burned out. One of the three is the one I am currently blogging about that I started a few weeks ago.

This will probably be a monthly update so right now I am saying I am at $0.

Anyone else interested in sharing their goals or working on the same one as me?

Based on my free time and my work schedule - I want to dedicate at least 20 hours a week to working solely on my own business including watching tutorials/training, building, reading, publishing, etc.
