With a little help from my friends?

Working from home can be a challenge, one that we don't realize until we choose or are pushed into. I've been fortunate after a busy work life to be able to choose a business that I can work at from home in my own time. But environment is so important and that brings me to the picture above of my little guy Patch.

He is a middle-aged guy now at nine years of age and becoming more relaxed about his life. It started well with a loving owner who sadly lost him in the big city of Sydney. I'm horrified to imagine him on the busy streets trying to avoid, cars, buses and trucks. The scars from that time are near to the surface, a wariness of big strangers, a dislike of children and a stressful tummy. Although he loves to howl at passing fire trucks!!

Amazingly, I found him online and drove four hours to Sydney to buy him from our rescue team in

Australia. He must have recognized something in me, as he stood on his hind legs to beg for a cuddle. He was only four months old and three and a half kilos. Patch does all sorts of tricks (for treats of course) and shows an interesting intellect for a dog. Our little circus dog.

Bad beginnings can come to anyone in this world and at times it is only the people and animals that are around us that help to create some balance. Because when it's all said and done, we take nothing material with us, only the memories of those we loved and who loved us.

Patch enjoys interrupting me when I am working but he often makes me smile and gets me off the computer and out enjoying a walk on our glorious beaches.

Life after all is all about balance.

He is a wonderful companion to my husband and I, constant, loving and always only one step away from making us laugh.

I hope you have enjoyed this little read. It's not about our business or skills, just a little about friendship and life. I value all of you in my life, for just being you.

Hugs my friends and have a great week.

Lily

With a little help from my friends - Beatles. Such a lovely dog. We got our Rosie in Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory, where I used to work.

She was left abandoned at a house in Rose St. Hence the name Rosie.

A friend of mine kept walking past the house where she hid, she asked the neighbour if anyone was feeding her. Apparantly the neighbour was.

Rosie had been left at the house for a very long time, my friend picked her up and brought her to me and said would you look after her We did, off to the vets we went and the rest is history.

She is a little Jack Russell X and is excellent with children.

How wonderful Yvonne, such a happy ending. ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽถ
