Content Ideas in 60 Seconds

I was just replying to a discussion about content ideas and I thought... Why not just share it in my blog since it might help others too! My previous job required me to brainstorm for new ideas all the time and I picked up 2 simple strategies that helped me a lot. You will be surprised at the number of ideas you can generate in a single minute with these 2 strategies! To use both strategies, you need a focus/topic in mind before you start.

1) Use the 5Ws and 1H - They are who, why, when, where, what and how. With just these 6 questions, you can generate tons of content to write.

2) Content in 60 seconds - Write whatever that comes to your mind when you think of your focus/topic in mind. Usually I will write it in point form. It can be activities, questions, ideas... actually whatever works here.

I'm going to give you an example by merging both strategies. Just an example, I am in the toothpaste niche. Check out the number of questions I can generate in 60 seconds...

What are the famous toothpaste brands? What toothpaste is the best? How should I brush my teeth? Where can I buy whitening toothpaste? When should I brush my teeth? Why should I brush my teeth? Does toothpaste really reduce tooth decay? What whitening toothpaste is the best? Why didn't my whitening toothpaste make my teeth whiter? *pant pant*

When brainstorming, some might be ridiculous but some might be gold. Do you see an emerging niche from toothpaste now? :)
