Oh Happy Day!

I was so looking forward to good weather, a chance to get out doors, do a road trip, get on the water, etc.…But then…… The Virus! Like a hole in a tire, let all the air out of my dreams and visions of adventure and fun. Today being Friday was no different, a feeling of expectation and adventure over took me. I awoke to the sun shining into my window, I smile, take a deep breath and sigh. Ahhhhh I exclaimed! It’s Friday and a beautiful day at that! I jumped out of bed, well sort of jumped, actually that was more in my mind than really doing it. I anxiously prepared for my day and went about my morning routine, still seeing the sun shining in the window, still full of wonderful expectations of what, at least the weekend at home, would be.

I grabbed my purse, my brief case, and my coffee and keys. Out the door I went with a smile and a heart filled with wonder! But then……like The Virus! All the air went out of my morning as I rounded the corner and caught the sight of A flat tire. I sighed again, but this time not with “the sun in my window”. More like a cloud rolled over me and I thought I felt rain.

So I eventually made it to Les Schwab who fixed my tire and sent me back on my way. Oh happy day! Thank-you Les Schwab!

I once again feel the sun on my face and look forward to the weekend, my mind filled with all the activities, at home, I had hoped for.

Someday soon we will be fulfilling our hopes and dreams of a fun filled adventures summer when, like Les Schwab, the stay at home rules fades, fixes our tires and sends us on our way again. Oh Happy Day!
