This is Harder Than I Thought It Would Be.

Hey everyone! Hope you all are having a great day so far :)

Just wanted to update my profile since I haven't been here since late July...

I've had about 6 posts on my blog so far and I've shared them on social media platforms and through friends and family and so far, I've been getting really positive responses for it! A lot of people say that the posts help them to gain a new perspective on making goals and working towards a better version of themselves. And that makes me HAPPY!! :)))

However, I've been having struggles lately with time management for school, work, choir, a band that tours Central Valley, AND Wealthy Affiliate. For the past couple months, Wealthy Affiliate has been taking the back burner on the stove that is my life and I wish that wasn't the case.

THIS IS HARDER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.....

I feel discouraged since I'm not on Wealthy Affiliate as much anymore and I feel like I'm wasting money and time. Whenever I see that $50/month come out of my bank account, I think of all the times that I didn't go on Wealthy Affiliate and it bogs me down because I see it as a waste of money if I didn't use my resources to the full potential.

So I wanted to ask all of you guys this:

How do you guys manage your time with school/work AND working on Wealthy Affiliate?

I aspire to be like some of you and take this affiliate marketing to a whole other level by making it a full time job eventually but right now, the progress just seems so bleak..

I understand! Sometimes it seems like every time I sit down to write, one of my kids has a problem, something comes up, or my youngest just wants to crawl in my lap. My phone has become more than expected when I started at WA. I've downloaded 3 new apps just to help me get more done. One is for more family schedules, one is for lists like goals or groceries, and the 3rd one I use is literally post its full of ideas and research for my posts. This way if I'm away from my laptop I can still be working on WA.
I hope this helps! You can do it!

Best of wishes to you!
Gerri

Thank you Gerri!

I really appreciate the encouragement! I'm really happy to know that I'm not alone in this - that everyone has the same struggle and yet we all work through it in our own ways.
I'm excited to see what is in store for me here at WA if I just keep moving forward with it!!

Best wishes to you and your family,

Asia

Hey Asia, I would try writing down what to do on what days. Depending on the days you have school, you can opt to work on ONLY school/home work on those days. Those may or may not be the same days you go to work and do your other stuff.

But choose 2 - 3 days out of the whole week and dedicate maybe 2 hours on each of those days for your business.

1 day could be to go through your WA lessons and the other 1-2 days working on research for a new blog post and actually writing it out and publishing it.

That way, you're moving through your lessons and you're also moving forward with your online business by publishing 1 blog post a week. That's still progress.

When you have a specific day and time for something and follow through it, it will become a habit. You don't need to dedicate much time to WA if you don't have the time to, but at least, you wouldn't have to give it up completely.

I don't know if the specifics of your day-to-day routine but I do hope that this helps.

Hi there! So I actually finished all the WA lessons which I feel saves a lot more time on my part cause now all I have to do is just write blogs and post them!
Thank you for your advice, this definitely helps! I'm gonna try to implement goals and tasks throughout the week that I can complete to keep working on WA!

Best wishes,
Asia

Wish I knew myself how to manage my time better :)
I really admire people who have an offline business and then come to work on their online business and do everything necessary.
But sometimes we tend to be too hard on ourselves and that's not good neither. Main thing is you didn't give up and you have your goals and dreams.
Maybe it's good to set one task/goal on the way to progress for each day. It can be some small thing but better than nothing :)

Thanks for the encouragement!!
Over the past couple years, I have found that I have a tendency to create goals and tasks that are not feasible for me realistically and that’s why I get discouraged... I’ll definitely take that into consideration!!

There is always a way Asia. Get up an hour earlier, don't watch TV or play games, if you do.
Write down what you do each day as you do it, every single thing you do for a few days. Then look at it and see where you can save time.,
Good luck.

I like that idea, Linda, of writing down what i do each day, kind of like a logbook!!!

I actually kind of have a logbook right now where I put journal entries of how I’m doing with WA and what my goals are for blogging and other stuff like that...

Thank you for the encouragement!!

just put as much time as can into it.

In this business, the more you put into it, the more yuo will get out of it.

It is understandable that when you are first getting started that you wont have the time to build, but to be honest as soon as you start earning and seeing your finished product and helping people in your niche, you will see the value in what you are doing and it will make you work harder.

eventually, it will overtake your regular work and replace it.

It's a process that you are just in the very beginning of. This is NOT a get rich quick. But it is highly effetive and works as long as you follow the training the T.

When i first started, I was able to devote about 1 hour a day or so to learning and writing. I would wke up an hour earlier ro stay up and hour later. You need to buy out the time.

After a while, i started making more money working on my site than i was working my regular job.

then i quit my job. Now i work on my site and youtube channels full time. I make more than triple what i was making working my regular 9-5 job. but it all takes time. it took me about 2 years to get to that point.

So all i can say is dont get discouraged, find the time to work on your site and just stick to it. It is like building a house... if you start building it brick by brick, it will take you a while... if you start with 10 bricks and then abandon the site.. when you pick it back up, when you return, there will still be 10 bricks there and yuo can continue building. So the work you put into it is building toward something, but with the inexperiened eye, it doesnt seem like it.

i guess this is a long winded way of saying, dont give up. $49 is CHEAP compared to the other trainings out there. In fact, I would suggest that you pay yearly for $359, that way you are devoted for the year and you wont have to worry with the month to month worry of 49 draining out of your account. But if your circumstances dont work for the 359, the 49 is still insanely cheap.

I recnetly purchased a trainng that was $5,000. And that was just for the training! So $359 or even the $49 is stupid cheap.

anyways, stick wtih it... it's worth it.

Thank you for the encouragement!!
I think that’s what I need to achieve in the next couple weeks - having the mindset that this will take a while and if I want to achieve the goals then I have to put the time into it..

Thank you for your advice and encouragement again!!

Best wishes,

Asia
