Success! My site has been indexed by Google.
Holy mackerel... I have been indexed by Google in two short weeks! I am in my element as I only have about 9 articles on the site although each one has taken substantial research and investment of time. All that effort is worth this amazing feeling! I wanted to blog as I feel my strength lies in research and writing. So I have focused all my time and energy on learning the skills. Still many skills to learn, naturally, but a step in the right direction.

So that you know it means that your site was found by Google and now it is a good time to start adding content if not doing so already.
However, first your posts get indexed and often days later down the line start getting noticed provided targeted keywords are searchable, new websites can rank efficiently.
But typically "authority" for a website starts to get established through time, usually the 3-6 month mark.
They fluctuate up and down the scale till Google decides where to place them.
Not all posts will get ranked, thus the recommendation to keep updating blog 2 - 3 posts a week and that's for the foreseeable future.
And just for some clarifications.

Thank you. I really appreciate the input. I am putting a lot of work in to find relevant keywords and relevant posts to help affiliate marketers. I know it is quite a saturated field, so it is doubly essential that any post offer value and substance.
