My journey with wa!
My journey with WA so far!
I have joined WA over a year ago and not done regular work on my website because I am still working nearly full time at the age of 72 and also take care of my grandson who lives with me because his mum (my daughter) has a very demanding job – so I ended up being the cook and grocery shopper for our small family of three.
But whenever I had time, I worked on my website which is all about yoga and I have to say I have learned a lot about all things around building websites, handling images for the site and finding the right keywords to create an article.
Up to now I have roughly 20 articles on my site and Google has indexed all of them but not yet ranked.
When I did the training, I followed all the steps but I had to start again to let the knowledge settle a bit deeper. The second time I understood much more and could go along much easier with the tasks in the training. I have also joined Amazon’s affiliate program but I came to the conclusion that this does not make sense at this early stage because I did not get any traffic on my website and so Amazon kicked me out. I think I will have to have at least 50 posts on the site before I can think of getting any decent traffic and ranking on Google.
At the moment I try to get my head around the social networking with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc. and I have to convince myself to do this as I do not especially like the idea of other people seeing what I am doing. I follow the training for this aspect and have also a question for WA: will the training at some stage being updated? Because it seems the social networking training is from 2013 or 2014 and the pages for example on Pinterest look now very different.
I would like to ask the community if there is any idea on roughly how many posts with really valuable and helpful content will Google need to rank?
I would love to hear from you and thanks for listening.

Hi Angelika.
You can set up a business Facebook account where you can share links to your site to help draw traffic your way. You can also share ideas from other sources that you find helpful to help your followers as well.
You will have to set up a personal Facebook page first and you can just add close friends or family and do not have to use it as much as your business page.
My favorite place to find help is Youtube, You might try it as well.
I know Pinterest is another good way to draw traffic to your site. Here is another post from someone who has been more successful than myself-- Get The Most From Pinterest I hope this helps

Hello Ray
thank you for coming back to me and your helpful advice - I will set up the business account in Facebook and also check your recommendation for Pinterest.
Kind regards
Angelika
On the training pages there is a tab on the top right labeled “request an update”
I haven’t used it or know how effective it is, but many of the ambassadors recommend using it.
