Enough is enough! Time to cancel my membership
No! Its not me. But that is the type of comments I am now coming across.
There are members who have been with us for some time and have now decided to quit. And there are quite a few members. I have been told that it is the ones who do not persevere and are not patient enough who quit early. I can see that now. I decided to investigate these members further. These members have not been with us for no more than 6 months! Some have not built a website yet!
One piece of advice.....
I have been here for 3 months and have questioned the success rate in doing something like this. But I now know it all depends on you.
To be a success on WA you have to persevere and give more or less 1 year. Everyone I know who has had significant success has been with WA for around a year at least.
What would bug me the most is not giving it my all and seeing other people who have been here for a lengthy period of time and making tons of money. You CAN make tons of money online and especially here. Question is:
1) how badly do you want to be a success?
2) how PASSIONATE are you about building online sites?
Why quit so early? Is building a website online not your forte? Are you not building a website to help others or are you just thinking about money? Are you giving up early to easily? Do you not have the determination or perseverance to do this? Are you impatient? BIGGEST question. Do you ENJOY building sites? I hope you do.
The above is why I don't give up. Why would you give up on something you enjoy? Giving up is the greatest failure. I hate losing. But losing also makes you better.
One question. If you opened up a store (your own business) and started from scratch (as most if not all businesses do), do you think you can make tons of money within the first 6-12 months? or will the profits start rolling in after at least a year?

i like this. it is a good reminder! i haven't read any posts yet of people wanting to quit. however, i am pretty new here. but, i have read posts that have made me think....they are gonna give up if that is what they are asking. things like ''how much will i earn within 3 months''. i hope they read this and don't give up.
hi. thank you for your comment. like any business. it takes time. you are pretty much an online entrepreneur. this is your business. the overheads compared to shops are extremely cheap. the profits can be large. if I can make this a success, i can work from home, be my own boss, expand my business, have as much holiday for as long as i want without getting permission from my 'boss'! work as long as i want, spend as much time as possible with my family at the same time, be there for them always whilst earning continuous flow of money at the same time.
WHAT MORE of an incentive do you need to persevere and not give in? now that my friend, is what i call a life.
I've been told by a number of sources, that in the restaurant business, it take more than 5 years of operation before you start turning a sizable profit! Maybe that's why you see a lot of restaurants close up shop within a 5-year span - they quit before they see their success!
A lot of people are just looking for instant results while others have realized that this is not for them. Fair enough! Not everything is for everyone.
For others, WA has led them to different opportunities from the experience and knowledge they have gained here. So kudos to them for following success down a different path.
And the last group that I've noticed leave, have felt they have utilised everything that WA has to offer and have gained the knowledge to go out on their own. I wouldn't give up on this group too soon. I have seen people from this group pop back in periodically to learn more and contribute to the WA community.
I have also only been here for 3 months (while this comment may seem like it's been longer), I'm just every observant and read people's profiles to see how long they have been here, why they came back, and why people are leaving.
WA is like a hometown - Some people stay for life. Some people stay and then leave to explore what the world outside has to offer. And others leave but return every so often. :)
Hi Brooklyn, you are right. people leave for different reasons. If this type of business is not for them then fair enough. if they are the ones who will be coming back then fair enough. but if this is what you really want to do and be a success at then you should persevere long enough and strive for success. you are right about people leaving before seeing their success. it does happen a lot. hard work and patience brings success. i wont be leaving until i attain that success. you know what you could also build a super website and then sell it. I know someone who built a website and sold it for around £5000. not bad ehh? another way to get success.

hi. lol. no worries. that was the aim. i was wondring if it was gonna work. anyways it is surprising to see so many people quitting so early. i hope they all stay because their goals can be realised with hard work.
no problem. anytime. this is the first time i had come across so many people quitting after such a short period of time. i just had to voice myself.
I had noticed that too, I had my ups n down lately haven't been able to accomplish a lot, but I knew from the beginning that this online business takes time, effort, PATIENCE, and I know is not easy for a lot of us to have. Sometimes is easier to quit, I don't want to go back I will continue slowly but surely I will get there. I have a lot of work to do on my site yet, my problem is time n talent on content writting, so that also slow me down. Thank you again.

no worries. i have just recently had a bit of success which i will be posting soon to share with everyone. its something i never thought i would see so soon. but has happened. In a few months time, hopefully by the 6th month, i will attain more success. I will post that too. Keep at it. Succes will come.

Half the population never finishes what they start.
It does not matter if you are in sports, dancing, or what ever. they give up. I do not understand what people are thinking but to achieve and succeed you have to push your self to the limits.
good point. a lot of people do give up to easily. i guess it depends on individual circumstances. whatever the case, personally, i also get a sense of satisfaction once i complete a task. the world would be very efficient and things would move a lot faster if everyone had a no can do attitude. not to mention more success.
