I am not sure that I understand what a following is.

A "following" group is created when people "follow" you by reading your profile and clicking on the "Follow Me" button. Once you have followed someone, you get linked a little closer in WA in some ways, I believe, in that their questions and discussion posts show up more often in your list under the globe icon at the upper right (at least that's what I've experienced).

Likewise, when you read someone else's profile and click on their "Follow Me" button, you are part of their "following."

Depends on what you're talking about. If you mean your website that you create, Dan Barth below is correct. It's a group of people who keep up with what you are doing on your site.
