I thought I had read that Google Indexing for new websites and new posts takes about 2 weeks. I have been with WA for a month and none of my 12 posts are showing as indexed yet

Hi,
Please don't forget Bing. Although not as good as google you should still submit a sitemap to Bing/Yahoo.
Bing/Yahoo is also good to help you get ranked.
You can do that with Bing Webmaster.
I always use both. :)

Amber - Have you requested indexing on Google Search Console? It can speed things up.

I have not. I will have to try that. I did submit a site map on the google search console. I'm assuming requesting indexing is different?

Yes - use the URL inspection tool -

This training covers how to submit new posts for indexing as you publish them:

So it looks like I can manually push them to be indexed? That is great to know! I'll try that and see if I can get my older ones to be indexed.

Yes, it works for new, old and updated posts. But don't do too many in one day, or it will show "error", and you'll have to wait for it to reset.
