My first Youtube video!

Hey guys,

Today I am thrilled to present my first Youtube video! :D

It's been a project that I had in mind for quite some time now and I knew exactly where I wanted to go with it but I had no idea how to start.

It scared the hell out of me but finally, I decided to go for it!

It's been a very challenging experience and it wasn't easy but I think I have done a good job and especially, I have learned so much!

Why did I do it?

All the experts here agree that videos are important if not mandatory in an online business.

It's a challenge when you have never done it and the first one will take some time but it will get easier over time and video marketing is something that can be used in any niche!

My example might be different from what you would expect in a money making niche and what made it a bit easier is that I am not in the video (lol)

This is something that I might do later but I am not feeling ready for that now ... and the advantage of a music niche is that I don't need to ;)

What I wanted to do?

The first purpose of my video is to grow my email list and add create authority and trust.

My website is a music production website and I know that beginners are always in search for free music samples and sample packs. (If you don't know what that is, no problem, basically these are 'sounds' that can be used in music production).

I wanted to create a video to promote a Sample pack that my viewers get for free by subscribing to my newsletter.

Later, I will create a sales funnel. They will get the free sample pack and get access to more offers that are not free and that are building up in price.

I will create more videos and sample packs that I will be able to resell.

How did I do it?

  • First, I had to find some white label product with resell rights. I could have created samples myself (I am a musician) but that would have taken me way too much time. I will in the future but I found a good deal for what I was searching for.
  • I created my video with IMovie. I had done a video some years ago before not in IMovie. It was fun to do and iMovie is quite intuitive, even for beginners. Took me some time but it will get easier next time. I had to remix the samples, search pictures and videos and little by little I got the hand on it.
  • I watched some trainings on SEO for Youtube videos. keywords and rankings for videos.
  • Some interesting training I found:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/video-seo...

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wa-affili...

  • I create a new 'branded' Youtube channel for my website.
  • Searched for keywords and uploaded the video with advice about SEO and keywords I found in the training.
  • I created a new email list in Aweber for my video and added a link to my website so people need to subscribe to my email list to get the download link.
  • I created a download link with Dropbox because I needed to be able to transfer big files.
  • I shared my video on social media and I boosted my video on Facebook for a small budget. This is not something I usually do but I thought this might be worth trying it out. I already had several like since I posted it one hour ago so it's a good sign :)

Next?

Next move will be to write a blog post and link it to my Youtube video.

In the future, I will create more videos with tutorials, reviews, .. and I will try to built a Youtube channel that's worth it.

In the long term, I will create a sales funnel with sample Packs in addition to affiliate programs that I have already.

What do you think?

I would really like to have your feedback on my video so I can improve it and learn from my mistakes for my next one ;)

My biggest fear is that the links are not working or that it doesn't redirect to the Dropbox download page. I also think that it could have been a bit shorter but it was difficult to get done if I wanted to get all the sounds.

It's a first try and I will improve with time I guess :)

This is it! My first video!!!

Would be great to get some likes and comments too, but no obligations....

I am not posting this for this reason. It's just that I am very excited about it and if I can help anything I will be glad to help you out when you make your own!

So, feel free to ask if you have any questions :)

Thanks for watching!

Love you guys :)

Angélique

Hi Angelique. Nice work on the video. It looks professional to me. New Beat buyers would be drawn in by this video. I checked it on mobile...the first link to the free beats download does not work. The social links all work. The last link to website does not work.
Cheers from Janelle.

Thank you Janelle,
Apparently you need to enter the whole website extension with 'http://www.'
I think it works now :)

Sorry Angel I switched it off right away.
Reason 1
People like myself who have eyes that are light sensitive.

Reason 2
People like myself who have a history of Epilepsy and flashing lights can and will trigger a seizure.

I'm sure it will be a very good video though but my reasons are something to be aware of in future.
Have a nice day.

Don't be sorry. Its your creation and you're justifiably proud of yourself and you weren't to know.
As I said its something to think about when making video's.

Enjoy your Wednesday.
