First subscriber ! How did I do it ?
Hi everybody,
I am so happy today that I wanted to share this with you. Finally, someone subscribed to my newsletter!
I got a bit desperate because I have added an autoresponder a few months ago and I wrote an Ebook myself as a free gift for subscribing to my newsletter... but nobody seemed interested. I didn't have a lot of traffic back then so i guess it's normal.
Lately, I have linked Sumome to Aweber which improved my opt-ins but still nothing...
I didn't give up and tried out different things and opt-in forms...
And today! Big surprise! Someone finally subscribed to my newsletter!
I am very excited because that will be the first 'organic' person that will read my Ebook that I have worked so hard on.
Feels almost as great as my first sale and it proves again that patience is the key :)
What I would recommend from my experience:
- Choose an autoresponder. I am using Aweber but there are others like Getresponse, Mailchimp,...
- Find something that make people want to receive your newsletter, a freebie ,like a free Ebook, Tips, free samples, or anything that will make them want to subscribe.
There are some free Ebooks available for about any niche. I preferred to write it myself because I haven't found one that I wanted in my niche but for money making websites there are plenty, for free and not.
- Download Sumome and add a list builder. Try out different opt-in forms like Welcome mat, scroll box and see what gives the best results
- Link Sumome to your autoresponder
- Create a follow up so you have them ready for when someone subscribes.
I am not an expert yet but I hope my tips will help you somehow :)
Nice weekend to everyone!
Angélique

Congrats Angelique. I have done the same things as you except using SumoMe. Maybe that's the key. Thank you for sharing your experience. Best of luck....onwards and upwards!
Thanks!
It's worth a try :) I don't know if it's all thanks to Sumome but I really like the features it has to offer
