I've had too much tonight

I should be sleeping right now but I've had too much caffeine and I'm an occasional insomniac. The funny thing is I can't stand other sodas and I won't drink the water here unless it's bottled. It smells like chlorine so I'm not about to drink that!

How do you know when you've had too much caffeine?

your hands might shake, you might find yourself unable to sleep at times you would normally be off in dream land, or more fidgety than is normal for you. Good luck sitting still or staying focused. People watching might think you have ADHD lol.

Beware of the sugar content too, that's another rough one. It's the worst soda on the market but it's so good!

I always find it best to avoid these types of drink Angela...

Too much caffeine and sugar will do nobody any good!

Take care my friend!

I need to find something else I can actually drink.

I always find water to be the best option Angela, maybe with the juice of half a lemon or lime...

Or, a nice herbal tea with low caffeine!

Red wine also does the job for me... but don't overdo it!!

I don't like tea or water except the flavored water and that gives me bladder infections

Sorry to hear that Angela, but in all honesty, our bodies NEED water my friend...

yeah but it doesn't taste good

Maybe try to buy bottled water that comes from elsewhere...

They also have some fabulously tasty fruity water on the market these days my friend!

That's an idea I'll give that a try.

Great to hear my friend!

Mt.Dew used to be my go-to soda. Now I drink Dr.Pepper for soda. But I mainly drink iced tea or water (we live in the country, and it can be nasty here also). I would say invest in a lot of bottled water.

As far as insomnia goes. I might be able to suggest a relaxation technique that could help.

Blessed Be.

JD

I'd love to hear about the relaxation technique.

When you lay down in bed to go to sleep.
__Picture your body in bed but red. Red with all of the tension, stress, anxiety, etc.. of the day.
__Now start relaxing the muscles in your body one at a time, starting at your head and going down to your feet.
__At the same time picture the red of negativity flowing out of your body from your head through your feet, at the same speed that you are relaxing your muscles.
__This is to be a slow process, 5-15 minutes at least (there is no real-time limit. Just don't rush it).
__As the red flows out your feet send it to Mother Earth and ask that the creator (or whatever deity you pray to) recycle it through her for the good of all.

I hope this helps.

Blessed Be.

JD

I've had a few days like that, Angela!

Jeff

sucks doesn't it?

Yes, it does, my friend, but we must persevere!

Jeff

Hi Angela,

I can get like what feels like the worst hangover ever if I have too much caffeine.

I'm in the UK and hadn't seen Mountain Dew - it seems that's just as well in my case!

I hope that you get to sleep soon!

All the best,

Julia

thanks. I don't know if it's the sugar or the caffeine that's addictive or both but umm yeah that's where I'm at with it.

Yeah
