Who said expect the unexpected? Turns out lots of people and some of them quite famous! Astronaut Neil Armstrong for one! Commander of Apollo 11 and the first man to walk on the Moon! “That’s one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind.” As Armstrong stepped out of the LEM onto the Moon’s surface on July 21, 1969, he spoke these famous words. I grew up during the baby boomer generation. These Apollo missions were always televised by the great newscasters of th

Your Life Expectancy – Do You Really Want to Know? Boy, life expectancy sure has changed over the course of the past few hundred years. If you had been born around 1900 and you were male, you had a life expectancy of around 46. If you were born female you could expect to reach about age 48. So, why are humans living longer today than they use to? Comparing Rich and Poor Countries Some recent research has shown that a male born in a high-income country in 2012 can expect to reach around age 7

The Problem Have you changed a menu or page name in word press and the old description is still displayed in the browser after you launch it? When first putting my site together a couple of months ago, I changed the name of two of my menus. I have just noticed that when I currently launch these menus, they show the original menu name in the browser and not the new/updated name that I changed it to. In addition, when I checked under Appearance then Menus in word press they were identified, liste

Unfortunately, a great deal of our lives is spent doing things or meeting the expectations of other people. Either through a series of life events, getting bad advice from individual

Restore Balance in Your Life In joining Wealthy Affiliate most of us are shoring up our lives, have determined that we need balance between home life and career and have opted to take a creative approach in finding new ways to jump start our new year by doing some things that we would not traditionally do....or even attempt on our own. I perceive this as a sort of "cross-training." Fitness trainers use this strategy constantly - they suggest shocking your muscles into something new so that your

Find the "Chutzpah"! Don't know what it means? Google it! A really basic definition of chutzpah would be "someone who is particularly audacious, confident". In approaching your daily routine to build your wealthy affiliate business, I would encourage all to be bold and self-confident - even if you aren't sure what you are doing or what the outcome of taking action will be. Make a solid effort to break away from any recent restricting circumstances that may be obstructing your progress. The tra

Patience, Persistence and the Willingness to Succeed! Ah yes, these are great words to follow if you can manage to do so…..especially if you can implement word number one. PATIENCE. From one of my favorite movies (2003) Seabiscuit: Red Pollard says: “You know, everybody thinks we found this broken-down horse and fixed him, but we didn’t. He fixed us. Every one of us. And I guess in a way we kinda fixed each other too.” If you have never had an opportunity to view this movie, I w
