That Was Quick! Too Quick?

So my fantasy sports site is 8 days old today and is getting around 400 visitors a day and 50% are returning. I am ranked on page 1 on Google Bing and Yahoo as far as Jaxxy is concerned and seem to own the whole of page 1 on Google and I am wondering if that could all be true? I really hope it is but one does tend to doubt oneself.

Have you check Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

They will give you some insight into your traffic.

I know that fantasy sports is a hot niche.

You can check out your position also by doing a google search on your page or site that is number one. You can also do a yahoo search and see for your self where your website and page ranks. Also you can do a bing search to find out about your ranking there.

We are very happy for your success so far.

Cheers!.

Hey Gerard,

The answer, as with most things, is, "it depends".

You don't rank a website per se, but rather individual posts and pages.

So, if you're using Jaaxy to check "ranking" and simply inputting your website domain name, this confirms nothing more than proof the website is "indexed".

Unless your website name is famous/well-known it's highly unlikely that a visitor would type your actual website name into a search engine (although the aim is to get people to recognise your brand, especially with a Fantasy Sports site).

Plus, to get "ranked" for specific and relevant phrases in the search engines will take at least a few months.

Your traffic is impressive.

Most niche-related websites would struggle to get that amount of traffic in the first 6-12 months.

So, I would question where you're traffic is coming from.

That amount of traffic within the first month would typically indicate social media, your link shared on relevant forums and sports-related platforms, or that it is paid for.

Where is your traffic coming from?

If it's coming from the search engines, you may as well write a guide, sell it, sit back and retire on the 7-figure monthly profits you will make.

No-one in the 23-year history of Google has EVER received that much ORGANIC traffic in the first 8 days of a website.

This would make you a genius and the greatest Internet Marketer that ever lived.

I bow down in the presence of greatness Gerard. Hahaha

I'd loved to know where your traffic is coming from.

I see you have a question in your response so I am asked to Pay if Forward.

A great question - where is the traffic coming from.

Congrats Gerard.

Nice job, Gerard!
