Mindful Moments
There are many ways to be mindful to help focus our busy brains.
Start your day with a deep breath and stretch. Research has shown that we release many stress hormones when we first awake in the morning (I’ve always wondered why my dogs, Ciara and Miller take a long stretch before they attempt to do anything else in their day: NOTE TO SELF…pay more attention to the actions of our pets’ daily routines, seriously) and so as we think about the day ahead, STOP and take a deep breath and stretch your body from head to toe. Throughout the day make a point to shut off all external noise, whether your driving in your truck, sitting in your office or classroom or at home. Turn off the computer, TV, radio and just have silence for a moment. Mindful practice can help you be more effective, creative and more focused.
Personally, I am going to make the best attempt to intertwine peace and mindfulness throughout each day (I did say make the best attempt. I am realistic and know it’s hard to do but releasing the clutter in this brain of mine is worth it). So here’s the plan this week…
- I’m going to get up and take a deep breath and stretch (and then do it again with the dogs).
- I’ll take early morning walks around the neighborhood block (the weather looks great for the week).
- I’m going to send a friend/ family member a positive morning message and…
- As I leave the door I’m going to tell my self each day that I CAN DO THIS!
How will you manage your mindfulness this week? Go ahead, try it out. YOU CAN DO THIS!

I'm trying! I'm getting frustrated with a few things on my site. For example, some posts on my website are not allowing comments. I'm trying to get through things but will probably have to go back and review some course information pieces. Onward and upward!
Andrea, when you are working on a post or blog in Site Rubix, is you select the post you want to have comments, select "quick edit". A new window appears. towards the sender of the page, you will see a box beside the word "comments".
Click ont hat box and a comments section should be added to your post.
I hope this solves your dilemma.
Susan
