I am building a membership site and understand that this is not allowed on WA, so I want to transfer that site to other hosting. Any ideas on which hosting is the best - to get
Hi Amy ...try i-page for hosting there doing a deal NOW $1.99pm if you jump in fast, there highly rated to, good luck Amy.
Sorry I am not able to help with this one see you have been given some advice from others, hope it points you in the right direction
I did a review on SiteGround, they have many features and benefits, and affordable pricing. Here is my link if you want to check them out.

Thanks for all the reactions. I included the reply of the support ticket now which implies that membership sites are not allowed.
I Cant see Way you couldn host it Here. I Think if We want We also be able to create website whit joomla. Your host is a database as Well, dont know im not on that lever jet
I really like BlueHost because of their human2human contact. Support is wonderful, even for people who are new to the world of hosting. Whatever answers you get, make sure that your support team is there for you as humans, and on the phone. Live chat is great, but not when you do not understand something!
Hmm, all hosts have their advocates and detractors, the majors are all pretty much of a muchness, IMO..
I use namecheap to buy urls and then host my sites on Hostgator.
Hostgator are pretty reliable and offer good support although I am as yet to build a membership site.
Kevin
You are not supposed to promote your sites through WA but there are no restrictions as far as I know on what type of sites you create. You pay for hosting here just as you would anywhere else. Maybe others have a different view?
Yea - I'd be interested to know also. I don't have any current plans for a membership site, but I always like to be informed of the rules before I start heading down a path... :)

Hi everyone, I just upgraded to wordpress 3.9 and now in the editor my edit link button doesn't work and also the extra buttons I had from the ultimate tinyMCE plugin are gone..
Ultimate TinyMCE has now become WP Edit both of them by the same developer, Josh Lobe. The free version is at http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-edit/ and the pro version at http://wpeditpro.com Unfortunately, the changes made in Wordpress 3.9 to the editor meant that he needed to entirely rewrite the plugin. :) Rich.
tx for the clarification, this has been a useful collaboration even if it did not start out with that in mind- and my uh-huh-dumbo moment is that I defected to Advanced coz Ultimate did not play nice back in the days of an upgrade to 2.9...my bad....
Hi Amy. I think that Ultimate tinyMCE is no more. The plugin author published WP Edit (or something like that) instead. Check plugin's website for details.
I remember reading about this planned upgrade / switch of plugin.
I just updated TinyMCE Advanced on my 3.9 and it appears to be working...I added some buttons in the settings, saved them and voila, all good and functional
Thanks for this! I installed tinyMCE advanced just now as well :) and it works perfectly accept for that edit link button..
Maybe only the Ultimate part of tinyMCE doesn't work anymore with the upgrades.
thanks for the definitive on this, I have to say that apart from tables, I looked at the new VE and thought "well, that does for TMCE then"
Hi Amy,
Please log an update regarding this issue?
I'm still with 3.8.2 and working through bugs in my own theme (basics!) .
Emme
Hi Emmy, do you mean that I should write a blog about this issue? After having trouble with security plugins the technical support advised me to only keep updating my wordpress for security and they will take care of the rest. That's why I did the update.
re tiny mce you might have to reinstall it. Not come across it as yet myself but give it a go
