Note to the newbies
Time sure flies when you are having fun!!
Two weeks ago I took a leap of faith and signed up for the free membership...again. Within 3 days I was trying to figure out a way to upgrade since I didn't have a credit card. I was convinced I was in the right place and determined to upgrade, no matter what. It goes to show - when you really want something you make it happen! By day 5 or so I had officially upgraded to Premium.
I have spent every free minute I have working on the training and on my website - I am also lucky that the job I work at the office allows me to work on WA at the same time! That helps a lot and I know how lucky I am to be able to do that!
I wanted to note a few things about my experience so far...
For one, my biggest advice is to walk before you run. When I joined I was (and still am) so eager to get to the step where I can fire my boss. I sometimes forget to enjoy the journey to the destination but I am getting better at that. I have slowed down and really listened to each video and read all the course materials and completed all the tasks. I researched things I wasn't sure about and I did not allow my progress to stop completely. Action = success!! Have faith that Kyle and Carson will get you there - just.keep.moving!
The second is to release yourself from the concept of perfection or being done. You are never done. You are a constant work in progress - and so is your business! I am working on this myself - my habit of writing a post or page and then re-writing it a million times before I publish it is changing quickly. And it feels so liberating to just put yourself out there! I'm excited to see how far this goes in the next few months!
And lastly - ask for help!! I have yet to have a question go unanswered! The community here at Wealthy Affiliate is so helpful and supportive - its truly the secret to success to link arms with like minded individuals! Together we will - and it feels incredible!

I agree. I dashed through course one like you and was so eager to get my website productive. Firing the boss - yup i am so looking forward to that day, i even have a feeling i should burn some bridges because i totally know this is going to work, and firing my boss would just fire me up even more. It's tempting... but you are right, it's the journey and doing the process thoroughly. I am so enjoying it, and it is wonderful not to have to do it alone. It is said when the student is ready, the teacher appears, that is so true for me and WA. Keep going!
