As you see, competition leaves Twitter in the dust. Facebook is still on the top of the mountain.

Do you use Facebook for your business? If the answer is Yes, let me know how does it effect on your online business?

Thanks for sharing, Amir.

Enjoy it dear.

Amir - Just started using it (sort of). The jury is still out. Thanks for the great question.

You're welcome my dear.

I use FB. It's difficult to say. You have to post everyday something. Otherwise your followers will forget about you. But I guess, it's everywhere a bit like this.

Thank you for sharing your opnions.

Have not used Facebook

Cool.

good keep it up

Thanks.

HI Amir,
I ow you a private message to follow up soon.

I think the problem with social media and Facebook is that people are there to socialize, not buy stuff. So while there may be two billion users, most of those users are there for a specific purpose - to socialize and see what their friends are doing. A lot of people find the FB ads annoying and they ignore them. They are not targeted buyers, and that's where the money is. Traffic is just traffic until they're looking to buy something.

I think specific FB groups might be a good place to sell something. But even the groups have strict guidelines about spamming or selling in their group. So unless you can join a group and develop a rapport and find a product they's be willing to buy - you run the risk of getting banned.

Twitter is a news feed. People are there to see the latest news, not necessarily buy stuff either. Instagram is also a place to look at pictures of friends and famous people - that's about it.

Now Pinterest is different. Pinterest is set up around hobbies and interests. Pinterest is a good place to place links because if you're on a Board where people are looking to buy supplies for a specific hobby or interest - then you can probably do better.

The search engines are probably still the best place to direct people to buy stuff. Good content on a niche website will attract people who are looking for that specific topic/problem.

I plan to focus on niche sites based on keyword results. I would rather have 25 people stop by my site to buy something than having a thousand visitors who are just roaming around and not looking to buy.

Hi my friend,

I'm waiting for our project. Plese, let me know when will we start it.

Thank you for sharing your ideas on social networks. I liked your point of view about them, I agree with you in some ways. But, don't forget the vast potential of these social medias. Those are good tools to drive traffic and then SELL. I don't want to sell directly from FB or the others. Because the buying cycle of a customer is more complicated than what we think about it.

Anyway, thank you for contributing.
Have a good day.

Amir

Hi Amir, an interesting set of results. Irv.

:)

I post all my blogs on Facebook, Google+ and twitter. Thus far I haven't seen any real results from any of them

Why do you think you haven't seen any results?

Let's learn to do it but as of this time I see Facebook for me is the most effective.

How does it impact on your business?

If they read the posts and share it will help but when they just like and do nothing I don't think it has an impact except I've popularized my site.
