Hello!
I've got a dash in my domain name, and I got the domain right before getting premium and finding out that having a dash, usually isn't the best idea. Should I be
It is fine for SEO purposes. but for building a brand or people memorizing your website URL I wouldn't recommend it.
You would still get indexed and have a rank in the SERPs but the biggest headache you would have is getting traffic volume.

Having a dash in your domain is not ideal but you can still rank still might take longer and need more hard work.
Depends on your niche of course too as you may have very ow competition, that alot of factors to consider.
If you are going to change do it before you have loads of content.

Thank you Martin for your quick repsonse. I'm probably going to be changing the url soon, within the next few days that is.
If I have a handful of articles published on my website (with the dash url), will it be no be ranked or noticed by Google (or any other search engine) when I do change the url?
Best regards
If you only have a few articles I would transfer these across to your new site and start a fresh, you can delete the old domain then.
Or keep the old one and just start the new its up to you.
Martin
If I were to get a new domain, I will be moving my website over to that domain, but keeping the old domain (with a dash) as a redirect to the new one. Or perhaps start up a secondary website just for fun, haven't quite decided yet! But as long as there's no problem with the SEO after I change domain name, then I have nothing to worry about. Thank you Martin!

Not at all. However, from the lessons here, I learned that websites without dash rank higher. Just focus on contents that are relevant and engaging

Hello! Is it necessary to always watch the videos when going through a lesson? The videos are usually 20-30 minutes long, and I don't always have that kind of time. Would I be
Yes, yes, yes, yes and did I forget to say yes. If you do then you would not need to waste time later trying to fix things or ask questions about it like I did :)
It depends on what you mean by "necessary".
The videos are helpful and instructive. They're also part of what you pay for with your Premium Membership.
Of course, whether you watch them is entirely up to you.
The articles usually will not cover everything that is shown on the video especially those videos that provides step by step side guide to set up or updates certain things in your website. But if you do not have all time, I would think selectively fast forward is OK, but don't skip the video entirely.
