My Progress with Boot Camp

My progress with Boot Camp? I was not too fond of anything to do with English and writing in school. In College, many of the courses dealt with writing, and of course, I had to take English and improve my writing skills. For the field, I was going in. I'm back to writing again, and I'm rusty at it. Therefore, I can honestly state, "it is a challenge, and you can't write fictional stories for my post." On the other hand, though I'm rusty, a challenge and rewarding at the same time.

What I Enjoy:

I'm enjoying the learning process and the help from the people within the WA community. Everything is a complete learning process, and I get impatient with myself. I have to take a breather and implement self-control.

What are some of the difficulties:

I find problematic in implantations of terms, such as Linking. I understand how to link to the outbound website, especially with products. However, the subject of internal linking has me completely confused. I know the process of adding posts and organizing them in the menu section, but the internal linking on the posting page is the real problem. I'm using Yoast to help optimize the pages for google, yahoo, and bing. Even in their categories, it states to add at least one internal link for better ranking in google. Presently, I'm at a stand-still with internal linking.

What is my look forward to with WA?

Firstly, my purpose is to sell products from companies to make extra income and hopefully be successful. Now, it's my focus to conquer the challenges laid out here by building a website that will generate attention and traffic. Secondly, become proficient in writing and not get burnt out. I was learning and improving on techniques so that I could help others who are experiencing what I have already had. Furthermore, this would be a great benefit in helping others and finally. I want to build a successful Affiliate Marketing website to sell other companies' products and make that recurring income monthly. Consequently, this will enable me to take care of my family and have the extra income to care for personal business.

Now I have completed another assignment on Boot Camp; so far, I have posted four on boot camp and eight on my other site. Moving forward to the next lesson!!

Hi Alma,

You have the determination and resolve to succeed. And so you will with consistent effort.

Jay gave a webinar today on internal links. Here is the URL for that lesson. I hope it helps. Cheers.

Edwin

Hi Edwin, Thank you for taking the time to respond. Everyone that has responded has been so helpful. I truly appreciate the help! I have to get a few more posts for my niche to apply internal links appropriately. I will view the links you submitted to me for the review!

You're very welcome.

Edwin

Internal linking seems difficult when we are starting out because we do not have content that is relevant to link back to.

Once we get more posts written then there will be opportunities to link these posts back to each other.

I have gone back through articles this way and have found opportunities for linking that did not exist when they were written.

That is done exactly the same way you would link an external post.

Simply open the post you want to link to in a different browser window and highlight the URL of that post. Then use it for the internal link, just like you would if it was external.

Do not worry too much about internal links until you have numerous articles that you can link back to.....

Thank you for taking the time to drop me this excellent information. I'm listening, and I will apply it. I do understand that I'm going to have to get more posts done on my niche to be able to do so, and I will watch the video. I will take notes, and I have already learned from each one of you; nice to know everyone is following the same training, and I'm so grateful for your help.

You are very welcome. I have found that many things seem difficult online, but over time with research and help here in WA it all becomes clear. Keep at it it will get easier.

Alex

Writing content can be challenging, but you don't have to bother.
It gets better with consistent practice.
Internal links is when you connect a page on your website to another relevant page. you can learn more here

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to drop me a note. You are right, and thank you for the link. I have to write more posts, and I will stay consistent. I'm going back to work!

Hello Alma,
My condolences on the loss of your loved one.

We all have problems and the journey we take has challenges. I have come upon roadblocks many times. Nothing like yours. I have learned when that brick wall appears not to get anxious or overwhelmed. I step back and focus on myself. What can I do now to keep going? What do I need to Improve my skills?

It is good to see you are not giving up and you have a plan with expected success. I have always been encouraged to keep pressing forward. Do not give up. So, like you I look for brighter days ahead.

Thanks for sharing this post, it is encouraging.

Thank you for responding. Yes, there are obstacles, but I like how you view things, and I'm listening. I will always learn from others, and it's encouraging that I'm not the only one. I have to get more posts done to do the internal links, and I'm better at understanding it. Thank you for taking the time to drop me a note.

Hi Alma31,

It's nice to meet you. Internal linking is linking posts within your website. Internal linking goes in 2 directions, outbound internal links, and inbound internal links.

If you only have 1 post you won't have anything to link to that post as that is the only post you have. However, once you get a few more posts look for another post that discusses something similar to link to.

For example, if your niche is dogs and you are writing about dog training methods, and you have another post that mentions how important it is to have a well-trained dog, You could internally link each of these 2 posts together.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions.

Barbara

Thank you for responding. I'm so happy that you gave me that fantastic suggestion. I will have to write more posts, and I will get at it. Again, thank you for helping me out!

Hi Alma, I am happy that I could help you! Good luck with your content! Best wishes for success!

Barbara
