Anxiously waiting on Google to index my site

To this point, I haven't seen been able to get a page 1 ranking in Google.

I was hoping this blog post would be announcing my first page 1 ranking ... but it's not.

Not yet! But I feel so close. It has to happen soon.

I've done a lot of keyword searching and, as Kyle has taught us, have found a number of keywords with competition less than 10.

My last couple posts have utilized these keywords. My next-to-last post focused on a keyword with competition of 6. I even was able to add another related keyword with competition 8 into the post.

The post before that focused on a keyword with competition 7 and included another keyword with competition of 1.

And before that a post with keyword having competition of 3. It's been well more than a week since I posted this one.

Please index them soon, Google!

I feel like I've been waiting an eternity to see where they rank. I've even submitted the pages using Fetch as Google tool but that hasn't seemed to cause anything to happen. I thought that tool would force Google to index my page quicker?

Well, I'm waiting. I'm excited. And I want to start having a chance for traffic to hit my site.

It will come. Patience is needed.

Keep building my site.

I stopped worrying about Google's fickleness, for now. I just want to get my site up and running without worrying about them. Like everybody says "Content is King". I also read an article saying that more changes are coming to Google soon, so everything we're stressing about now might end up being a moot point in the near future anyway. So maybe it's not anything that about your site. It's probably just them.

Couldn't help but see Heather's comment and she's absolutely right. Keep working the content and don't be obsessed. ~Debbi

Thank you, it's just those little things you realize while going through the lessons and bootcamp. I think even Kyle has mentioned in a lesson or two "not to worry to much about the background stuff". Eventually it all works itself out.

I was watching my analytics daily in the beginning, but then decided, "ah screw it". I took about a week and just kept coming up with keyword rich content. I checked a week later, low and behold I was ranked on page 12. (It was somewhere on page 152)

Sometimes you just have to keep at the work itself and not pay attention to the background stuff, it comes slowly, but it does come!!

It does become almost an obsession, doesn't it Heather? Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi Allyn! -

How are you - my friend!

My advice to you - would be: 'Set & Forget'!

As you go deeper on your Internet Marketing (IM) - there will be many things you - just need to - 'Set & Forget'.

You MUST - spend your time wisely!

Not spend it watching - any form of analytics -- It is like waiting for a kettle to boil - you seem to wait for ages!

So - 'Set & Forget' - move on with something else which is going to move your business forward! :)

** Have a Great Productive Day - Allyn! **

And remember Rome wasn't built in a day...but they were laying bricks everyday!

Thanks, David. My post here was an attempt to do what you said, "set and forget." I kept looking and looking at the analytics, so decided to just write this post and get past it. Thanks much!

Good man!! :)

Yes, patience, the training here says it can take a while! :)

Yep ... and it does. I know I can't make Google move any faster.

It will definitely happen!!! :)

Thanks!
