The World Needs Authentic Men
8
This is the first in a series on authentic manhood, and the particular plague of "fatherlessness" in our western culture. I am composing this from the point of view of a man who has bombed again and again, however has gotten up and hasn't stopped pushing ahead.
Although the following list is not comprehensive, it features what I believe to be a significant number of the attributes of an authentic man.
The World Needs Men:
- who can't be purchased by or enslaved to his vocation.
- whose word is their bond.
- who put character above riches.
- who are bigger than their positions of employment.
- who don't hesitate to take risks.
- who won't lose their personality in a group.
- who is honest and trustworthy in little things and in extraordinary things.
- who will make no trade off with wrongdoings.
- whose ambitions are not restricted to their own narrow-minded wants.
- who won't state they do it "since every other person does it."
- who are consistent with their friends through great report and evil report, in difficulty and in thriving.
- who don't trust that astute business deals and trickery are the best qualities for winning achievement.
- who are not afraid to remain steadfast in following what is true, even when others disagree.
- who can state an unwavering "no" when it opposes his morality, despite the fact that a vast majority of men say "yes."
In my next post, I will examine some of the tools that can shape and build up a man's character.

Great work Allan. Just a though...have you considered doing a niche site on being a good father/man? Given what you wrote here, it seems like it would be a great idea.
Thanks for the idea. I'm so busy with my other jobs, I can hardly keep up with the 2 sites I've created. Actually, I am only able to pay attention to one of them now.
It should be like that for when you get started in this business Allan, a focus on just 1 site is really enough for it to be the one to make you a good income, but you have to do the training in WA, that's the only way.
