Positive Affirmations 2 - Confidence and Self Esteem
Today's Top 5 Affirmations - Confidence and Self Esteem:
- "I accept myself unconditionally "
- "I let go of worries and replace them with excitement and optimism"
- "I enjoy my own company as I get in touch with my true self"
- "I have faith in myself to make the best decision possible"
- "I am worthy of happiness and love"
Self esteem is essential if we are to go through life feeling confident and successful.
We are all born with high self confidence and self esteem.
However, as we grow older, we are often criticized and disciplined for our behavior or what we say. This instills a negative internal belief in ourselves that we are somehow damaged.
Unknowingly, parents may repeatedly criticize and put down their own children, even for minor issues, resulting in low self esteem and a lack of confidence which will cause a lifetime of issues, feelings of failure, limiting beliefs and fears.

Love this stuff, Allen. Fascinates me.
10 years ago 14,000 Per month was normal for me. The recession hit and negativity that came with it brought me down. I joined in the negativity, complained about the world and how unfair it was.
What happened? Over time I became more stressed, angry and finally, ill. We lost our marriage, our home and almost my sanity.
Why share this? I believe my thoughts made everything worse. Where focus goes energy flows.
Since then my marriage is back :) our kids are happier and we’re on track to buy our new home for cash within 12months. I stopped looking at the news, engaging in negative talk for any period and I am solution focused.
The “negative internal belief” is slowly leaving. The things you share truly make all the difference and should not be taken lightly.
I wish you well on your journey, Allen. I hope you change many lives. Thank you for sharing.
Ger.
Ger, thank you so much for your comment ... this is not as unusual as it may seem. So many of my Marketing friends have experienced these meltdowns caused by negative influences from their environment. We must find a way to isolate ourselves to stay positive and seek answers rather than giving in to the blame game!
So pleased you have been able to restore your marriage, congratulations to you and your spouse ... that is not easy! Working as a team you have great things ahead of you ... sometimes having survived a crisis brings us closer together ... I hope that is your case!
Best wishes to you and your family!
Allan
Thank you for your kind sentiments, Allan. My wife and I found ourselves again, even in the middle of chaos. Funny how life unfolds. We can choose to learn from our experience, or as you say “blame” others for our misfortunes.
Recently, we discovered both our daughters have Aspergers disorder/syndrome, which explains so much. Problems in school are common, and its difficult for them In social settings. This can be painful for us. Since diagnoses we now have direction.
Now we know how to help them. We are solution focused no matter what. We are so grateful to have found answers.
I am not religious, but, I sincerely ask for guidance, wisdom and clarity every morning. The next step always comes :)
We can think anything we want, so why think negative? There’s always a way.
Again, thanks so much for your kind words, Allan, we appreciate it.
“May the road rise to meet you, and the wind be always at your back”

Thanks for sharing, Ger ...
With the diagnosis of Asperger's, comes greater understanding and improved outcomes, as your expectations of each other and yourselves change.
This leads to more appropriate expectations, which allows you and your wife, and of course your daughters, to be experience fewer disappointments, less worry, frustration, anxiety and drama.
As I am sure you know, there are many very successful people who have/had Asperger's (Einstein, Darwin, Tesla, Mozart) ... perhaps this article will be of some assistance ...
