Taking a break
No, not from WA! Just from the trainings for a short while. Still on Course 3, but am havimg some issues with my site that I want to take care of before moving forward. And yes, I will continue adding content! Already writing several posts in my mind, just need to get them down on paper and in the computer.
However, for some reason, my affiliate links to Amazon did not grab properly in the book review I did, and having some issues with my authorship on Google+. So, not doing any more trainings that don't relate specifically to these issues.
Plan on having time to work on all of this over the weekend, so I can get back to the trainings next week. I really need to start monetizing my website!

I hope you get everything sorted out. If the monetizing aspect of your site isn't working, all the traffic in the word means nothing. I just finished level 2 training and I hope level 3 deals with monetizing...good luck!
Thank you! I know it will fall into place in time. Yes, level 3 discusses monetizing and affliate links. That is where I am right now. Just need the time to sit down and work on it with no interruptions.
Sounds like a good plan. Amazon links are flaky. If you're using text links only, you need to copy the link provided from the http: to the =20 which is at the end of your affiliate name. If you want to use the pic links, it's best to put them in a widget. It's also dependent, I think, on theme. I have a book review site and never have a problem. But on my very dressy flats site, I have to play with the links. Good Luck!
Carla, I know I did things correctly, but when in the site, I you click on the links, I get an error page. Makes it challenging to not have access to the item I am reviewing! Parg of what I need to work on.
I'm having similar issues but I know I will work them out in time. Finding the balance is hard for us all. Good luck with everything.
Good luck to you as well! Sometimes a step back is called for. Part of my problem is that I am rarely in front of my computer and working on a tablet just doesn't cut it! Makes it challenging to fix and adjust things easily.
I work on a laptop at home, but will not use the computer at work. And I work 2 jobs 2x a week, so those days are totally useless for me! Add in kids, and my time is totally limited!
I find that working on a tablet takes me longer when working on my website but it's nice for watching the training videos ;-)
I agree! However, I am not usually home to work on my computer. I have downtime at one job, but won't use the computer here. So I have no choice but to use my tablet. Hope to have time on the computer this weekend.
I'm taking a break from my website, and from lesson today, I'm just running around talking to everyone, and having a blast!! First day off in 2 weeks....Good Luck!!
Sometimes breaks are what are needed! Enjoy your day off! I just need to take the time to truly figure out why these items are not working right!
