"Can Wealthy Affiliate help me if I already have a website?"

This is a question that I get asked a lot. It is also one that I pondered a lot before getting involved with Wealthy Affiliate. I now have websites that I run through Wealthy Affiliate and websites that are not run through Wealthy Affiliate. So, I thought it was time for me to give my opinion on this topic.

Having an existing website when starting Wealthy Affiliate

There are many different websites that people can already own when starting out with Wealthy Affiliate. Your site might already be a business or it might be a hobby blog that you are looking to monetize. Either way, you are considering expanding your website to include affiliate links or you want to improve the affiliate marketing you are already doing. Mostly, it won't matter what type of site you already have, but I will try to answer with a variety of website types in mind.

What is Wealthy Affiliate?

To understand why it matters if you already have a website we need to analyze exactly what Wealthy Affiliate offers. Of course, the Wealthy Affiliate sales page will tell you all you need to know but I just wanted to break it down in a different way.

There are three main aspects of Wealthy Affiliate:

1. Community and support
   
2. Training and education
   
3. Website building/hosting

I will give a rundown on how already having a website will impact someone using Wealthy Affiliate, based on the three parts of Wealthy Affiliate mentioned above.

Wealthy Affiliate community and support

This aspect of Wealthy Affiliate is the one that really has nothing to do with whether you have an existing website and where it is hosted. The community is amazingly supportive. Inside Wealthy Affiliate is what I would describe as a social media platform. You can have a live chat with members, send personal private messages, ask public questions, write blog posts (like this one), follow other peoples profiles and comment on training modules and profiles. It sounds like a lot but its pretty easy to see what is happening once you are logged in.

Being able to chat to more experienced Wealthy Affiliate members, and even the Wealthy Affiliate founders (who are surprisingly accessible), makes the whole process so much smoother. If you have a query, you can ask and get it answered almost immediately. Having a community is so important to online entrepreneurs because otherwise, this lifestyle can be isolating.

Wealthy Affiliate training and education

I would not hesitate to recommend this training to someone who already has any sort of website. I already had a couple of websites when I started, one of them was even using affiliate links moderately effectively. I felt somewhat knowledgeable about the subject, (though I now realize I had a lot to learn.) This allowed me to be able to evaluate and access the Wealthy Affiliate training modules from a unique point of view. I could not believe all the valuable information that was inside the modules. I just kept thinking, if someone had given this to me 2 years ago, I would have saved A LOT of time and money. Plus, new trainings are constantly being added and updated so there is always something to learn.

However, you may find some of the earlier training modules are too basic or not relevant to you. This is because they have topics that you may already know about. For instance, how to use a Wordpress site, setting up Google Analytics and starting on social media. You can skip these modules or just skim through them. There are still useful snippets of information that might give you a fresh perspective.

Wealth Affiliate website building and hosting

Wealthy Affiliate has an amazingly easy system to get a domain name, start a website, host the website, and even add content to your website. I have used the Wealthy Affiliate website platform to create a variety of different websites and it really is so incredibly simple. I have used other website builders and this is by far the easiest. I have also heard from plenty of people that this is the most cost-effective way to host multiple websites. As a premium member, you can host up to 50 websites on Wealthy Affiliate. I have not done the price comparisons myself but I can still tell that this is a good deal.

If you already have a site, you may not use this aspect of the platform. You are still getting plenty of value from the community and training. You might also choose to build a few more websites on the Wealthy Affiliate platform. What have you got to lose? I made a whole lot of micro niche sites that were sort of spin-offs from my main business. These sites focus on a very specific topic or one specific affiliate product.

You could also consider moving your existing website hosting to Wealthy Affiliate if you wish.

Wealthy affiliate membership also gains you free access to Jaxxy, which is a keyword research tool. This is super helpful to any website owner. Keyword research is vital to getting your website seen by search engines (like Google, Bing and Yahoo), and then customers.

Conclusion to using Wealthy Affiliate when you have an existing website

To summarize, if you already have a website, you will still make good use of two aspects of the Wealthy Affiliate platform. The third aspect might not be useful to you, but on the other hand, you might get inspired to expand and create other sites.

Another thing to consider if you are not using Wealthy Affiliate for your website hosting, is that you can cancel your membership anytime. You could use the free version and stop when you don't need it anymore. You could also pay for the premium membership monthly for just as long as you want to. If you get everything you need from the training in a few months, you can simply cancel and move on.

I, personally, think that the premium version is worth the money just for the affiliate marketing training alone. The training modules are a mixture of words, images, and how-to-videos and are incredibly thorough.
