I feel like just by putting links connected to images... that I wont make money? How do I know if I have done this affiliate marketing thing properly?
How long does it tak
Alex, I've been here for two months and I really don't expect to see sales for another 3 months or so. Patience is necessary and keep on doing the training and then create content. My plan is to do training, create content, redo training, create content, redo training yet again and then create even more content. I would like to have 50 posts on each of my 3 websites by Christmas and lots of comments on each of them also. And have finished all of the training at least twice. Then, if I don't see $$, I'll be concerned. Life is short, enjoy the journey.
Patience is imperative if you are going to make a success of your affiliate marketing efforts.
It took me two month's to get my first two sales, but then I followed the instructions in the courses to the letter.
I don't expect to make a fortune in the first year, but then again I didn't sign up hoping that I could quit my day job within a month and live the so-called "dot-com" lifestyle.
I signed up to learn and see if I can build an additional income stream, and if it does eventually become "lucrative", then bonus.
Alex, you joined Oct. 3rd, you've been here all of three days. I didn't expect to make any money for three months. I look at my first website as a learning tool, not a cash cow.
Maybe you're being a little premature in your expectations.
You don't list any website, have you had anyone from WA advise you about your website, your niche, your content, anything?
Yeah I look at my first website as a "practice." Definitely don't expect to make money for a couple of months at least, but I am finding it hard to see that it will happen at all because I am new to affiliate marketing.
No, that is a good idea!! Thanks :)
Hi there, are you enrolled in any of the classes offered?
This like the building of any other REAL business, it takes time, effort and know how.
You are correct that by simply "putting links connected to images" will not make you money, more than likely.
WA is a place to learn about everything you need to be successful, the drive and desire aspect must come from you however.
If you need further assistance drop me a note or reach out to your sponsor or in chat.
All my best to your success,
Gary
Hey Gary!
I have reached Course 3, Lesson 6 in 3 days. Have done everything I have been told to do.
I do have the drive and desire, 100%. I need something like this running in the background to help me fund my America trip.
Thanks!
OK great, the lessons are invaluable and I am glad you are involved with them.
I was not questioning your desire at all, and I was able to hear what I wanted from you, your 100% and a goal!
Keep with it learn, apply, grow and don't forget as you learn to help others with your knowledge by sharing back.
You are on your way, all my best,
Gary
If you follow through with the training then you can see results quickly. There is no set time though. The key is to build regular content around your carefully researched keywords. It's a long term project so keep at it and you will see results. :)
Thank you Kevin! This was encouraging. I have followed the tutorials to the T :)
Any tips for thoroughly researching keywords would be appreciated.
Jaxxy is a great keyword tool to use. This will help you to research keywords relevant to your niche. I would definitely use this. You want to ensure that you get targeted visitors to your website. The more relevant content you have on your website the more your pages/posts will rank on the search engines. Research less competitive keywords that get searched as your pages/posts will more likely get ranked quite high on Google, Yahoo and Bing. Jaaxy will show you what are the best keywords to use in relation to your niche.

Actualy this is the first program/community I joined where one is completely honest about the financial results. It is long term, or, if you prefer, longer term (sounds nicer) :) I am absolutely ok with this. I rather work a complete year on this project to make it work and get my first results only after months to come than trying all those "quick rich" schemes out there. You see? I am involved in this stuff for more than 10 years now and I DID have my successes but also my failures. This is why I can recognize the real thing.
Know that if you follow the advices in these trainings as well as the good replies over here and you stay focussed and just go on and on, money will be the most natural logical result you will receive.
