The importance of choosing the right niche (for you)
As a newbie here and to affiliate marketing in general, one of the big decisions I had to make was what niche to start with. In the past when I have dabbled with affiliate marketing I played with the cliché niches - "How to lose weight fast", "How to make a million dollars tomorrow" etc.
And that is why I failed. I never got anywhere at all.. Why?
I simply wasn't passionate about the niche at all. This time it is different, I have chosen a niche that fits in with my life. Everyday I am completely absorbed in this niche, which makes working on the website so much easier.
My niche is about Learning the German language. This is something that I am doing because I have an Austrian girlfriend and spend a lot of my time in Austria.
So, my day looks something like this:
- Spend an hour in the morning revising German words and phrases
- Breakfast / Walk (great time to think about what you want to achieve today)
- Work on my current post / add new post ideas (I usually have around 5 a day)
- Lunchtime
- Post article
- Spend time with girlfriend - speaking German as much as I can
- Dinner
- Review website, look at google analytics.
- Watch some German TV / Movies etc
So, you can see I am living and breathing German every day.. this makes it very easy for me to write articles. Once I start, it seems to flow very easily.
So, my advise when you are starting is to find a niche that you are passionate about, concentrate on that. Use that niche to really learn what you are doing with your business.
To my future and yours. I wish you all the best of luck.
Feel free to follow me and ask me any questions you may have.

Don't Just Write Post, Your Idea Sounds Like It Would Be An Amazing Podcast & Vlog, Both you monetize as well as your website, or website courses. What better way to learn than to make courses lol
Thanks Nekko26. I have actually thought about that. And once I get the website full of more articles, I will likely go down this path of creating courses.
I have already started developing resources that I use myself that I would make available to "members" on my site.
Excellent idea. Immersing yourself completely in another language is the best way to learn but does take some courage. I have been wanting to learn Dutch for similar reasons but my comfort zone is being stretched :-)
Indeed! Immersing yourself in your niche makes working on your niche website much much easier. :)
