"Enjoy the Journey."
Enjoying the Journey
When I joined Wealthy Affiliates, and started reading through the many blog posts, I thought to myself, “what could I possibly have to write about, I just started, and haven’t made a penny.” What valuable piece of advice could I offer, in such a short amount of time to others with no measurable results?
But … what I didn’t realize was that, within two weeks, I had completed the “Getting Started Level 1” part of the certification courses, and launched my first blog, with multiple posts, and had already got some feedback and a few comments.
After realizing this, I was reminded of the importance of the journey, process, learning, and in many cases, un-learning that refines, sharpens, and makes us all better as we work toward our goals.
The knowledge I have gained in such a short time here at Wealthy Affiliates, let alone the community and help that is literally available 24/7 from other members. That is golden!
"Thing is … I have enjoyed every minute of it. I go to bed excited, and wake up even more excited, focused on being creative, sharing with others, and working hard toward my goals."
In a way, I feel like the things I'm learning here at WA, and the knowledge and wisdom that is shared by other members, are preparing me for the next level. I can feel it!
I’ve learned that if you commit to something, employ self-discipline, focus, work hard, and never quit, eventually you’ll get the results you’re after. I've experienced this with other pursuits, so I know it can be done.
I would like to end this post with one of my absolute favorite quotes by retired four-star general, Colin Powell, “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
Thanks for reading.

It seems as if you have already learned the "secret", Ricky. Whether we want to accept it or not, there is a process. We can either embrace it and enjoy it, or try to rush through it, missing out on all the good things it has to offer.
Great post, and thanks for sharing Colin Powell's quote.
