Don't be afraid of website feedback!
Hey Friends,
I know some people are talking about, and are even discouraged by some of the new features here, such as the website health and website feedback.
I just set up a promo for one of my websites, based on this training by DomW. I will be setting up subscription promos on all my websites now.
I did it because of some website feedback about building a mailing list, including giving away a freebie. If I hadn't asked for feedback, I'm not sure I would have thought to do this, or it might have taken me much longer to get around to it.
My advice is to embrace change. Whatever you embrace here will make you a better web master. I have been gifted by every interaction, particularly about how to work out problems or improve my sites.
We were lucky that we already had a published e-book that we could offer for free, but there's always something to give away. The book in the picture is our freebie, anyone who signs up for the mailing list at www.theabundanthome.net can get one, although I am not soliciting, simply illustrating what can be done. If you want one, you are welcome to it.
One word of caution about give-away file size. Wordpress has an 8 meg limit and our book was 10. We had to whittle it down to fit it on there. There appear to be ways to work around this, which we will research further, as our next give-away on another website, is a meditation, a sound file also too large for Wordpress.
It's hard to take feedback sometimes. Our websites can feel like our children, but I am grateful to the people who have taken the time to help me make mine better.
Be well,
Ahnna

Good thoughts there, Ahnna. I've gotten some feed back that wasn't very flattering, but it's best to get the truth, than false sugar coated comments
You are right about about one thing for sure - our websites can feel like our children. lol I know my main site is my baby and it is hard sometimes to hear someone say something negative about our dream. I have even shed a tear, even though I know the words were not meant to harm but to help.
I have received some good advice though, and I have even taken some of that advice lol.
Ahnna, you can use FileZilla to upload files to your site. Just search for how to do that.
Thank you, Ben! Someone else mentioned that too. I'll have to look into it. It sounds like just what we need.
Great blog and an important one.
One thing all marketers need to understand is that change is a constant and to stay on top of the game one must be flexible and open minded.
Thanks for reminding us all. :)

Thanks for sharing. I made an ebook and used Mad Mimi too. I had a couple of problems initially to do with the way I had my email set up but got it sorted out.
Constructive feedback is always good isn't it. :)
I sorta live for constructive feedback, Kathy. I have moments, like everyone, when I feel discouraged by it, but it always makes things better. I did pull my hair out a bit setting up this campaign, because I was getting error messages on my landing pages. That seems to have resolved though. One thing Dom did warn me about is that Mad Mimi doesn't allow use of affiliate links in your emails. If you do that, you can lose your list. I don't know that matters to me, but it might matter to some people.
Thanks for the heads up. I wouldn't use emails for that anyway, my plan, once I get subscribers, is to take them to my site. :)
